Guest guest
Beth, I am not much a help for your quest below. I am curious about how you find out Blastocystis hominis. We did a CSA with Parasitology. No intestinal parasites were found. I keep wondering about the accuracy of this parasite test. Although the submitted stool samples were collected from 3 days in a row, these are still considered as random samples. Could you share with me what test(s) you have done? Thank you. We are on VRM4 for an intracellular, microscopic parasite - a brain parasite so to speak. This was tested via Dr. Cowden's Asyra. I guess that it is Babesia-related. I know that Houston Homeopathy Center also use VRM for parasites, and their parasite protocol has a good reputation. It seems that there is no effective homeopathic remedies for treating GI tract parasites, so the ladies in Houston use herbs to do the job. In case you are interested, here is the product page: http://www.systemicformulas.com/biochallenge. VRM1 for parasites in the large intestine. VRM2 for parasites in the small intestine. VRM3 for microscopic parasites in the intestinal tract. Guest guest
Limen, Blastocystis was picked up by a stool test via doctor's data. I am wondering about the new Nutramedix herb Enula and whether it would have activity on it. Beth > > Beth, > > I am not much a help for your quest below. Guest guest
Beth, Enula is so new. There has not yet been much data of its effectiveness collected from clinic trials. Both Cumanda and Banderol are said to be effective on many protozoal parasites. Also, Quina is said to be effective on both intracellular and extracellular protozoal parasites. I read from your other post that you've had all these three herbs on board. Hope that you will experience improvement soon. Please keep us posted. Best of luck. Guest guest
Limen, No not those three. Just Cumanda and Burbur. Going to be adding Samento today. So not Quina or Banderol. If I add anything new it will be Enula. I think (based on emails and reading betweent he lines) it may be their strongest antiprotozoal agent. Guest guest
Beth, I am also planning to start Enula soon. Some LLMD recommends it for treating Babesia. We are tested positive on this one. Do you happen to know what recommended dosage is for a child around 50 pounds? Other Nutramedix herbs we are currently using are: - Cumanda/Banderol: Lyme Borreliosis - Burbur: supporting detox organs. - Pinella: detoxifying toxins from brain and central nervous system - Algas/Avea: mobilizing metal toxins from fatty organs and deep tissues I keep my fingers crossed to hope that these herbs work for us, as I have invested quite a bit of time and money on these herbs. Guest guest
> > Beth, Hello Limin and all, I'm new to the list, and I have a 15 yr old daughter, Katelynn, who is very obviously infected with Lyme, but unable to get a diagnosis in Texas. About 14 days following the bite, which displayed the bullseye and caused severe pain to her whole leg, Katelynn got very sick, and I took her to the emergency room at our small town hospital. She was blacking out and so dizzy that she couldn't lift her head off the bed, had fever, chills, crushing neckache and headache, and pain throughout her body, especially in her joints. She had been sick for YEARS after a tick bite when she was 8, but didn't show positive results for Lyme -- oh, big surprise -- and this new bite just sent her over the edge. I was certain it was in her spine and neck, and it probably was in her brain, too, as far as I'm concerned. Naturally, the hospital only stuck a swab up her nose - half way to her brain! - and tested for meningitis. The doctor said she wasn't sick enough for meningitis and diagnosed her with " upper respiratory infection/cold " . I should have taken her to the VET! I would have gotten better care there! Long story short, her pediatrician ran $300.00 worth of tests, and I'm pretty sure she didn't even order the ELISA or the Western Blot, like I asked her. She just read results off a paper and said, " Lyme, okay. " We ended up with Topamax, a very strong anti-convulsive drug for prevention of migraines. NOT! I really thought this doctor was on " our side " , but I found out $500.00 later that she was nowhere near... Out of desperation, I searched the internet day and night for something I could give Katelynn before this nasty spirochete and who knows what else took over her entire system. I found the 100 Day Protocol at http://www.100dayprotocol.com , made by Ambrosino and her partner, Clontz. It is specially formulated for Lyme and the parasitic co-infections, and I've been giving Katelynn 2 caps morning and night for about 2 months now. She herxes when I give her the recommended 6 caps a day, so I had to back off while she's still in school. It has really helped her to get back on her feet, and the occasional herx effects aren't too bad. I give her GSE, grapefruit seed extract, and olive leaf extract, along with a powerful combination capsule, Wellness Formula by Source Naturals, that has EVERY natural antibiotic, antiviral, antimicrobic, antifungal herb ever offered, and she usually recovers from the flare up in 48 hours or less. What I really wanted to tell you about is 's and 's site where they sell the Protocol plus all the Nutrimedix Herbs at a greatly reduced price. It is http://www.myherbs.net/ , and you can order combination packages of the different products that really save money in the long run. Maybe some of the people ordering herbs that are in this group could order in bulk and split the savings with each other. It would be worth a try. I was so thankful I had a little bit of an inheritance left when Katelynn needed all the herbs and tests and doctors visits. It's gone now, and I'm not able to afford too much of anything, but I appreciate knowing I can order from and get the best for less. I am so sorry to hear the heart wrenching stories of what your poor babies have to go through with autism as an aftereffect of vaccines and Lyme and parasites. Katelynn had bad reactions from her immunizations when she was around 9 months old, and has had high fevers and creaky joints since then. I'm afraid I might have had Lyme when I was pregnant with her. This is all so frightening. She was diagnosed with juvenile fibromyalgia when she was 7, after having daily bad headaches and insomnia and pain in 14 of the trigger points. Now I'm figuring out what was really wrong, and I feel so helpless. We haven't had insurance for many of the years she was growing up, so I just had to figure out effective remedies on my own. There are some remarkably effective herbs and supplements out there, and I thank God daily that I had the sense to search them out. I pray for speedy recoveries for all your kids, and mine!, and I pray for the day we'll find the BEST remedy for everyone. Many blessings, Molly in Texas p.s. There is a very uplifting, miraculous story of a girl in Texas that almost died from Lyme Disease, and is now close to perfect after a series of treatments by a doctor in Mexico. I sure wish I could afford to take Katelynn to him... Watch her video and read her testimony here, http://www.shadesofgrace.org . It is very inspiring. > > I am also planning to start Enula soon. Guest guest
Molly, Thank you for your post. The first two years of our biomed journey, I was struggling and fighting the battle of treating the complexity of Ingvar's autistic conditions, and at the 3rd year, I realized that he might also have Lyme Borreliosis. He is close to non-verbal. He had 3 known tick bites from year February 2005 to July 2007, and each tick bite sent him into deeper silence. I was trying to reserve his vaccine injury and felt heart broken for not being able to stop further environmental assaults upon him. We have not had a doctor to consult with at a regular basis, because of financial constrains. We have insurance with my husband's employer, but it does not cover majority of things I do biomedically. At times I felt so alone and were at the end of my wit. Much thanks to parents who share experience, knowledge, compassion, and determination to recover our children over the Internet. I know that if we are all alone, we are all in that together too. And this thought has helped me to keep going. Best wishes to all the special parents with special kids. Guest guest
Beth, This piece of information might be relevant to you: I spoke with Dr. Cowden at the Autism One Conference about tarketing at Babesia. He also recommended that we add Enula. And on our Cumanda and Banderol off days, Enula should be off, too. Basically, he wanted us to use Enula 12 days on and 2 days off.
