I have an 11 yr old HFA and he has started chewing on his clothes for

comfort when he is anxious (which is all day at school). Any

suggestions, we are out of ideas. We started Anxiety Relief herbs this

week but still having symptoms. My 9 yr old non-verbal ASD is getting

more aggressive and acting out in school and at home. Any herbs that

help? We are considering homeschool next year. Any experienced moms

suggestions are appreciated.

In my family we use Gaba, L-Theanine, 5-HTP, the mineral Lithium

Orotate, and Omega 3 fish oil to help with anxiety. It's important to

get the right doses, so getting help from an alternative medicine

porvvider (chiropracter, acupuncturist, naturopath, DAN doctor etc..)

who understands supplements is adviseable.

BTW, my son used to chew on his shirt all the time as well (all his

shirts had a bunched up area in them that was permenant), once we

addressed his zinc/copper ratio, and supplemented zinc, the chewing

went away.
