Guest guest
For me it is all about whether or not the person is a trigger person for me. My husband chews with his mouth shut but I can still hear the food and it is definitly a trigger. His manners aren't excellent but they certainly are good. Occasionally a really loud and obnoxious stranger will bother me but it is usually a 2 on a 1-10 scale. > I find eating with mouth closed is more of a trigger, its not necessarily > bad manors or open mouth eating that effects me especially if people close > to me are the main triggers. >
Guest guest
It's nice when someone empathizes instead of thinking we're just weird, but I can't stand it when people who really don't have a strong response to noise act like they "get it". They'll say, oh yes, I totally understand, isn't it annoying when someone clicks their pen? But they don't understand that it's not just annoying, it's HORRIBLE.daogress wrote: Only if the drinkers make a really loud sucking sound then I hate it!Just the sound of the cap coming off doesn't bother me too much.If I had to hear it over and over again for minutes on end, maybe.I told a doctor about my 4S symptoms once, (back when I HAD medical insurance) and she told me that she hated the loudsound of the plastic water bottles when someone squeezes them.It is loud, and if someone was doing it repeatedly I would hate it too! I was grateful that she didn't think I was weird andhad some empathy for me.>> Something that really bothered me in college was when people wouldhave a 20 oz bottle of soda from the machine and then they wouldcontinually put the cap on, then take it off...then you'd hear the"whoosh" sound from the carbonated beverage...i wanted to go unplugthe machines! Does anyone else have a problem with that noise?> > Need a vacation? Get great deals to amazing places on Yahoo! Travel.
