For me it is all about whether or not the person is a trigger person

for me. My husband chews with his mouth shut but I can still hear the

food and it is definitly a trigger. His manners aren't excellent but

they certainly are good.

Occasionally a really loud and obnoxious stranger will bother me but it

is usually a 2 on a 1-10 scale.

It's nice when someone empathizes instead of thinking we're just weird, but I can't stand it when people who really don't have a strong response to noise act like they "get it". They'll say, oh yes, I totally understand, isn't it annoying when someone clicks their pen?
