Guest guest
Yes , my liver was " unremarkable " , normal size. I really don't know what to make of all this, except the pain. > , > I can't remember did they ever do an ultrasound of your liver to see > what it looks like? Guest guest
Thankyou , WHat is confusing to me is that the first 2 sets of blood tests I had done in Jaueary did show elevated liver enzymes. The two most recent sets of tests show normal liver function. I do not know if this is a result of my liver healing itself, but the ultrasound seems to support the idea that my liver is doing ok. I appreciate your alternative suggestions and I will be pursuing the issue with my doctors. The enlarged spleen is still aconcern to me although neither of my doctors were much concerned about it, apparently the swelling is very minor. I have seen a GP, I have been in the emergency room and I have seen a gastroenterologist. Is there a separate specialist for liver issues ? I will be contacting my specialist today to see what the next step is. I will be overjoyed to find out that I do not have major liver issues, but I still need to find out what is hurting me. I am grateful for the wake up call that this has all been. I no longer drink, I no longer take pain medication and my GERD and gastritis are identified and under control. I consider myself lucky at this point. The stories I have read here have pretty much scared me straight, and I pray for each of you dealing with more severe conditions than it appears I have. I am still not convinced that my issue is not my liver. Hopefully I'll know something certain soon. I don't know why the most advanced medicine in the world cannot diagnose me more effectively. Maybe I need my chakras balanced. . > > I wonder if the pain is actually from the liver or possibly your gall > bladder? or I know I get pain there but it is from my colon.
