Guest guest
Hi, Crystal. Here is some info from Wikipedia about Tardive Dyskinesia. Unfortunately, it can be permanent. I would treat this as an emergency--it is after all a drug overdose. A neurologist may be a good bet. At the very least you want a second opinion on the wisdom of continuing on the medication when he's already showing signs of TD.From the "I'm not a lawyer, but" department: 1. Start looking for a lawyer. 2. Save the bottle and the incorrectly dispensed meds. 3. Write down the details of what's happened so far as best you can recall. 4. Take video of your son showing the new symptoms. 5. Don't say mom-guilt stuff like "I screwed up and didn't catch the mistake." He was prescribed 50 mg and Walgreen's filled it for 150 mg. I screwed up and didn't catch the mistake until a week and a half later. Holy hell has ensued since then. Called everyone and their dog last night.....psych wants to put him back on the original 50 mg after two days of nothing....on the first day of school at a new school in a new AU program. Please tell me that the Tartive Dyskenia symptoms that we've seen aren't going to be permanent. Who do I even see to see if they are? I can't believe this. ~Crystal Please look into Tardive Dyskinesia right away. This is often a permanent side effect, continuing after the medicine is stopped. I have seen lots of people with this. It's from anti-psychotics, like Seroquel, Risperdal, Abilify, Halidol, and there are others. Love and prayers,Heidi N*However* he constantly fidgets; moves his mouth back and forth; flicks his fingers, and twitches his shoulders. Has anyone else noticed a change like this on either Dr. 's protocol or on Seroquel?
