Guest guest
Just wanted to chime in here - on results after surgery. It's normal to feel worse right after surgery, after all any sort of an incision is an injury to the body and it must recover. In TC surgery, the spinal nerves are moved or tugged - and they tend to go into shock. It can take months for those nerves to recover. Ever sliced your fingers and had an area that was numb for a long time afterwards? A nerve was injured. Sometimes the nerves have been damaged so long by the tether that they cannot recover. Sometimes the nerves start to try to function normally and don't make it - which can lead to new pain, tingling, etc. One advantage that your son has - children recover a lots faster from this surgery than us older adults. -- Life shrinks or expands In proportion to one's courage.
