My 2.5yr old son was exactly the same way, no bloating, once a day little ballgroup poops like clockwork, no complaining or obvious discomfort. When we couldn't figure out why he refused to eat for weeks (only drinking Pediasure), we ended up (after many other specialists) at the GI doc. Turns out that little soft balls are usually not good - my son had a whole grapevine full of the little "grapes" in his gut. Some kids form large hard stools when constipated, some lots of little "grapes". My little guy wasn't eating because he was stuffed!

We had to do a miralax cleanout and we got a LOT of half melted looking little balls!

Just a head's up........

good luck!

Re: little ball poops

My first thought in reading your post is- Could probably be looser,"but" no bloating and going every day is good!!! They say stool should be the consistancy of toothpaste!! Maybe she just doesnt let it all out at once:) Jennie<><wvuaimee <wvuaimee> wrote:

My daughter is 3 and is still on 1/4 tsp miralax. Anyway, she is pooping once a day and isn't bloated. When she poops though we have 5-15 little soft balls. What is up with that? They mush when you push them but we don't get the log or the pile, just the little balls. Sorry for the details but I just wanted an opinion.Aimee
