Guest guest
I also can relate to nagging injuries. But since I've been working out stronger -- since around October -- many of my nagging ones have gone away! I was really AMAZED. I'm especially surprised that my feet have held up, since I have all sorts of problems with them. If anything, they've just gotten stronger and loosen up more quickly! I'm also amazed at how much my back as improved. It still gives me twinges now an then, but I haven't had the nasty sharp pain in quite a while! I've been trying to get my husband to work out more, as he has some nagging hip pain that I think could be helped with more exercise. He's fairly " active " but doesn't really work out. Guest guest
Oh hugs, I'm sorry your back is off, Donna! I know that feeling all too well and when your back talks to you you must listen, or else! I want to run so much but will do kickboxing this weekend on the bag, which I haven't done in ages, so that will be fun. I might be working out with a friend who is a black belt in Kenpo but he has a tummy bug today so if I don't work out with him I will do one of the Danny Sullivan workouts. Hi Everyone, First, - I totally sympathize and empathize w/ the nagging injuries! So frusrating, especially when the " will " is there! My back has been " off " all week and I don't want to push it into a full blown flare up, so this morning I just did Pilates even though I was " scheduled " to do Firm Express Accelerate: Sculpt. I hope to do the Sculpt workout on Sunday. After next week I'm going to take a week off of the Firm Express workouts and focus on stretching and gentle workouts in the hopes I can get things in my back to settle down and stop complaining - it will be the mid-point of my 12 week rotation, so the timing is good! I think my back is acting up as a result of a combo of using poor form while doing my " chores " , snow shoveling, and work (tension, long periods of sitting at a desk, etc.) I don't really think it is the exercising, as generally speaking, I feel a lot better after exercising and there haven't been any moves in these workouts that cause me to question them or experience pain. Anyway, I did Rael Pilates System 27 which is the most advanced of the series. It had some of the same exercises as System 17, but added some new ones! This program generally does more reps than in other Pilates workouts. I enjoyed it, but after i finished, I wondered why I didn't do a Margaret workout since her stuff is usually pretty good for when my back is cranky and I could have got weights in today!! Oh well. Will keep that in mind for the future. I have my long walk planned w/ my friend for later today - so that will be nice. I clocked a portion of our route and we are doing between 6 & 8 miles on our walks! Hope everyone has a good day!Donna
