Hi Lotte,

" non-contrast film " is a possibility but does not seem to be used very much

as is the term given in the new Langenscheidt (Nöhring) medical dictionary

" film exposed before contrast " , which I have never seen anywhere.

already pointed out that the new Nöhring contains quite a few errors and I

can only agree to that.

Dictionaries are helpful tools but I believe it is not safe to rely on them

exclusively.

in the Roche medical dictionary, I found the following explanation for

Nativaufnahme:

Röntgenaufnahme ohne bzw. vor Kontrastmittel-Anw., z.B. als

Abdomenleeraufnahme in der Ileusdiagnostik bzw. bei

Röntgenfunktionsdiagnostik.

As an equivalent, the term Leeraufnahme was indicated, and the English

translation for it: non-contrast film
