Guest guest Posted August 10, 2007 Report Share Posted August 10, 2007 I don't know that there's a connection between the B-12 deficiency and Chiari or not. I'd not heard that before. The deficiency is called " pernicious anemia. " While you may be eating food with B-12, it is not absorbed into the body. It's not a matter of taking vitamins in the sense we consider. Usually, people with pernicious anemia have to get B-12 shots. Without it, you can have a constellation of neurological symptoms and can even lead to dementia.
