Hello,

There is a new survey for the MosaicDS community.

Hello Everyone,

As you all know, I am officially the MDS List

Facilitator and one of my responsibilities is to

network new parents with MDS children with other

parents with MDS children. I have already put up

an MDS webpage, which includes a message board

and webring, among other things.

I am presently in the very early stages of

starting up a brand new non-profit agency, to

possibly be called the National Mosaic Down

Syndrome Association (or NMDSA). The mission, at

this point, is to provide education and

information to persons in the medical/social

fields so that these professionals can better

inform new parents, as well as to provide

continuing information and support to parents and

family members of MDS children. A major part of

this outreach will be to reduce (as best as

possible) the stigma or stereotype that comes

along with Down Syndrome.

Funding will be coming from other agencies,

foundations, corporations, memberships, etc...

So, the survey question is: Do you feel there is

a need for such an organization as NMDSA and, if

so, would you be willing to support this agency

in a way that would ensure it's success?
