I have seen reference to " just egg yolks or pouring off the whites " . I don't

know the reason for that; are the whites bad for us? Thank you for your

help.

Hi ,

I pour off the egg whites because I just don't particularly like straight egg whites. The egg whites are fine to eat. If at home I beat the eggs up a little with a fork or put them in raw dairy smoothies and do the whole egg that way. I was just referring to eating raw eggs on the run, like in my car or something like that. The ultimate fast food - whole or the yolk alone.

The only problem I have ever heard of with Raw Egg whites is that

they can bind up the vitamin Biotin, so if you are deficient you

will need to stick to raw yolks!

Yes, I've heard that too. But, the yolks have a lot of biotin in them, and may not be adversely affected by the whites. As in whole food synergistic balance type thing. And now that I'm reminded, that is a contributing factor in why I eat straight yolks without the white. Just be sure never to eat the white and throw away the yolk, as I'm sure some do out of fear of "Cholesterol". Yolks are loaded with wonderful good cholesterol.
