Guest guest
Hi All Does anyone ever have a " hyper " day or two after having a run a bad days?? I do this maybe once or twice a month. I feeling like I'm in overdrive, almost like I'm buzzing inside and I can't sit still. I'm also really unfocused and kind of all over the place. Today, I'm asking because I think I'm seeing this pattern in my Madison (7) this week for the first time. She had four days of a really bad headache with pain in her eyes and some blurred vision. Of course, no one needs to tell me what this is, but the hyper thing is what I'm seeing for the first time in this distinct pattern. She was just out of control yesterday and this morning she woke at 5:15am and has been bouncing off the walls all morning. Madison's has a possible occult tethered cord (and I'm getting no support from the docs here at home) and Dr B has taken a peak at her online MRI and said her tonsils were borderline, although her skull shape in the back, in my opinion, is much better than mine. Dr B thought that if the TC is treated, the tonsils will rise. She has had chiari symptoms mildly for years and they have been worse in the last 6 months, as her TC symptoms have as well. We went to the pediatrician yesterday to have them look at her eyes, and of course she woke up with the blurred vision resolved. They want me to keep the appt in two weeks with the opthalmologist. So, the hyperness?? Does anyone else get this as I've described?? Just wondering if this may truly be part of a chiari syndrome. Blessings from an observant, worried mom,
Guest guest
I would like to add to this that my hyperness has actually been " caught " by accident by a cardiologist. My heart rate and blood pressure go way up and stay that way. The cardiologist called it " hyperdynamic. " She also told me then that it was abnormal for my bp to go up with my heart rate so high, as a fast rate makes the heart less effective when it pumps, so the bp should go down. I also have a narrow pulse pressure, which means my two bp numbers stay very close no matter how high or low they get. This is much better these days, but they used to only be separated by about twelve to fifteen points consistently before the decompression. It could fluctuate from 100/88 to 125/110.
