Guest guest
Here is one for you creative people. What kind of marketing materials do you use to get your name into moms hands? I mean other than the usual business cards, flyers and websites? I currently have a brochure and milk storage magnets. I also have car magnets for logo recognition. I just ordered logo stickers for my prenatal gift bags and bright collor folders (thanks for the hint). I had dollar off coupons but didn't see a good return so I stopped them. Guest guest
I am thinking of putting my business card info on gift certificates to offer at showers and classes (moms get them for friends, family members get them for moms at the classes etc.). Has anyone tried this? How did it go? Sometimes I think that we spend more on someone else's wants and needs than we do on our own. For those women who want to breastfeed and have limited resources this could be a way for family and/or friends to help and show support. Also makes a nice shower gift! Guest guest
Hi Christie.......I offered gift certificates with my PP. I made sure they knew to give me a "heads up" a few days ahead and gave a specific service (consult/back to work sesson etc). I also donated the certificates when asked for merchandise at Silent Auctions (great for pre-schools, LLL, Mother's Groups, Montessori etc). This has worked out well with many referrals as a result. An inexpensive way to hit target market and get your service/name out there. I put it on my letter head and saved it on the computer and could change the name or amount and print it out. I put it in a plastic 8/10 acrylic stand-up frame for display for auctions or put it in a pretty pastel envelope for gift certificate. I just saw a mom today that I met as a result of a Silent Auction consult 2 years ago with her 2nd baby today. If the mom decides not to breastfeed and it is a gift certificate, it can be sticky. Since I know the folks giving the gift certificate I bill them or have their credit card and run it through when I see the mom gifted. If for some reason breastfeeeding consult is not used, her friends can get another gift and I do not have to refund. It was never a problem but I can see how it could be (billing after the fact)> Good luck Jan Ellen Brown In Charlotte, NC Re: Marketing materials I am thinking of putting my business card info on gift certificates to offer at showers and classes (moms get them for friends, family members get them for moms at the classes etc.).
