Guest guest
Hi, Today is day 30 for the Valtrex and our daughter (9) is showing no signs of coming out of this regression. I am getting a little concerned as I am seeing behaviors that seem to be taking hold as habits, almost. What concerns me most is: 1. general communication is now worse (as compared to before Valtrex or even to the first week of Valtrex where she improved slightly)--she rarely talks to us except to ask us basic questions or to tell us to " go away " . 2. She wants to spend all her time at home alone and not be talked to by anybody. 3. Her sensory issues are very heightened. Especially when it comes to noise and brushing her hair. 4. She has been sick with cold symptoms off and on for weeks. Now she seems to have this permanent clogged throat, prompting lots of throat-clearing. 5. She is pacing/running/jumping a lot in the house, but this could be due to boredom. 6. She is doing a lot more repetitive self-talk. 7. I have also seen some mouthing of objects, which she normally does not do. 8. Finally, she is incredibly anxious, especially about the rituals that she has created. I saw Stan's post that mentioned regressions lasting 40 days but I don't like my daughter's new " norm " that she seems to be settiling into. Comments, please? -Suzanne Woodland Hills, CA
