Guest guest
> Hi Doris, Just in the past week my Dad has gotten worse and doesn't even seem to know when anyone is in the room. He talks a lot, but not to me...it is to whoever it is he thinks is there. Santa went to visit him in his room last weekend, and he grabbed his hand and cried. It is so hard to see him like that, but at least he is there and I will be able to see him on Christmas. I am in Midland, not sure that I have said before. Judy Hi Judy, > > Merry Christmas to you too. And enjoy your day with your dad. My mom is still with us (but living independently), and we appreciate the time we have with her. At this time she is aware that she is losing her memory and it's getting worse and tells us that she is scared. So the whole process of Christmas has been melancholy for her. She sent out cards but found it a really tough chore and I had to write one in which she wanted to include a note. She sent out way less that in the past. Even putting up a few decorations was a major chore for her. Picking a present to give to the personal careworkers who look after her was a trauma. Finally I just bought something and wrapped it for her. All of these 'little' things add up to her feeling of anxiety. So we have her but we don't. > > I am in Mississauga. Where are you in Ontario? You may have said before but I forget. Doris > >

What we deal with, and our ability to go on no matter what, not many people on this planet can claim the same. Its inspiring.
