Mahrya's 3 yr. checkup

Hey everyone,

We went today for Mahrya's 3 year old check up. She gets a clean bill of

health. She made it up to the 35 percentile in weight and height both. Her

head is off the charts for being small, but the dr. is not conerned as all

my kids have small heads and Mahrya seems to be doing fine. He did have a

blood test done to check her thyroid, and he ordered the neck x-ray as

Mahrya really rough houses a lot with her 4 year old brother (she tackels

him) We should have all the results back in a few days. Is there any other

routine things that I should be thinking of having done? She is having a

vision re-check with the opthmologist this friday. She has tubes in her

ears and her hearing checked normal. Can't imagine there is any part of her

left to be checked. IEP day is also this friday, and school will begin on

Monday. I'll be glad when life slows down a bit again. So, if anyone knows

of something we are not thinking of, let me know!

Congrats on the good check-up. Sounds like she is growing up to be a " big "

girl. And good luck at the IEP. Just remember to stand your ground. A

lot of information will be given to you at once. But no decisions made

then are incapable of being changed. You can always call another meeting

if you are not pleased with how something is going at school on a later

date.
