Guest guest
: I am not talking from experience here as Karlee is only 5 mos. old. But, I have a friend that has a little boy and he didn't like the potty either. His dad lured him in to the potty everytime he went. Kind of a big boy thing and he put Cheerios in the toilet for targets. Yes, Cheerios! I guess if your not careful you could have another problem on your hands with the Cheerios and all, but good luck. I have also heard that if you have potty time for a while at morning and night all the other potty times will fall somewhere in the middle. If I hear of any other good ideas I'll let you know. My nephew always loved to pee pee outside. Do you live in the country? Just a thought! ( Mommy to Karlee, 5 mos., mds)
Guest guest
, Glad to hear I am not the only one with a stripper. Mahrya took it a step farther and pooped and then got the diaper off...what a joy that was cleaning poop off the crib and hoisting her to the tub at least once a day. The only thing we could think to do was check on her more often, put the diaper back on while she slept, and keep her as busy as possible. Luckily she hasn't done it in a while now. Hope he grows out of it soon for you. Guest guest
No, not out in the country... so he is not allowed to run around naked. His sister still does on ocassion. She can't open the door and has been known to just pull her pants down and squat in the front yard. Then she comes find me in the garden to help her put her pants back on. So I am not really suprised at his tendancy to go naked. I just have to stop the wetting the bed and walls and carpet. His bedroom is begining to smell like a boys public restroom. Guest guest
: You poor thing. I know this must be difficult for you now, but keep records, I can see a book coming from all of this later. I wish I had an answer for you. I guess I am writing because I am still, sorry to say, laughing at the " word pictures " I get from all this. Matt was so bad at restaurants that we didn't go until he 3 1/2 years old! He refused to sit and eat, he wanted to visit all the other tables and if we didn't let him, he would throw a tantrum. He was bad about not wearing his clothes as well until one day he stuck the head of a Lego character up his butt (sorry but that is exactly what he did, and it scared him to death). We didn't know what was wrong, he came running into the bathroom where and I were talking and screaming like he was dying. He would sit on the toilet, point to his abdomen and say something about " the captain. " After about 20 minutes of this I put him in the van to take him to the Emergency Room where I work. I put in a video and he got quiet. Sooo, I did the playground test, which he failed. He played for 15 minutes without a problem. We didn't find out till he went to the bathroom later and out came the " captain's head " what had actually happened. Anyway, to make a long story short, he wears his pants now, but this is not something I would recommend to take care of your problem. Thanks for sharing it with us. I hope you DO get some useful help. Sharon mother of (6) and Matt (4, MDS)
Guest guest
has done that one too. Right after church last sunday when we went out to eat with family in the middle of a resturant!. He walked away where I could not see him.... went to look for him and there he was butt naked with his pants around his ankles! The other patrons really got a show. And I had one mess to clean up. Pulled his pants up as well as I could and walked him out to the car and stripped him in the parking lot to clean him up. Such fun! If we keep a constant eye on him we can usually catch him before anything happens. Then put a clean diaper on him and he will be ok for about 30 minutes or so. At daycare today they went through 7 diapers in 8 hours! , mom of and ... in bed most probably stripped. ---------- > > To: MosaicDSonelist > Subject: Re: Off topic question on Nico > Date: Tuesday, September 28, 1999 6:39 PM > > > > , > > Glad to hear I am not the only one with a stripper. Guest guest
And I thought I had it bad! Thanks for making me laugh....Lets just hope that my little man doesn't ever try something like that. lol And as for the resturant thing, I know what you mean. was good about just playing under the table, and we would pass her food every once and a while... sorta like you would a puppy. Talk about get some looks from others. To this day she can't sit still to eat or anything else. Just last month her and I went for a special mother/daughter lunch and she paced around the table as she ate. The couple next to me gave me the worst looks! Like I was not able to control my daughter. She is not disruptive or anything, just paces. She is one of those wonderful sensory kids. Nico, on the other hand will run as fast and as far away as he can get if we give him any freedom.... so we deal with him tantruming and throwing things because he wants out of the high chair. , mom of and Nico ---------- > > To: MosaicDSonelist > Subject: Re: Off topic question on Nico > Date: Tuesday, September 28, 1999 5:29 PM > > > > : > You poor thing.
