I just wanted to add for those shopping for buffalo in the alterna-

stores, look in the freezer section. Fresh is hard to find.

If anyone is looking for bison meat in Southern California, I purchase from a guy who delivers to your home for $5. If your order is $100 or more (which is easy to do w/my family), then delivery is free. He supplies North Star Bison meat (100% grassfed. Not all bison is 100% grassfed and free ranged. He carries another brand too, so if you want 100% grassfed, make sure you ask for that one). And he has a good variety of cuts as well. I think he has a website called Tatanka Dreams. IHis name is . A very nice fellow. I think a Google search should bring it up. But there are other distributor is different parts of the U.S. You can find more at Eatwild.com
