Guest guest
Hello, everybody! I am trying to prepare everything for our the 1st time ever appointment with CPA (we used to do our taxes ourselves, before my son got sick). Need advice, please! My papers are in mess, so is my head... QUestions: 1) Do you have to have some official ASD diagnosis to write off gymnastics as OT? 2) I bought Valkion last year and didn't know I could write it off... If I ask our doctor to give me prescription, could I use it, if it would be dated March '09, instead of Dec. '08? I am not sure, if I could ask him to write prescription with past date... What about shielding canopy? 3) I heard that if I have tests results showing that my son needs certain vitamins/minerals/probiotics etc... I understand that I can write supplements off? But does it have to coincide with test dates? I did them in the summer of 2008, but my son started to take supplements in the fall of '07. Or past dated prescription from my pediatrician would work? Does it have to be US doctor, or I could give them prescription from our Ukrainian doctor whom we consult with all the time? Can I write off money i paid for tests, if I orederd the tests myself or if tests were ordered by our consulting doctor who lives in Ukraine and of course doesn't have US license .... So many questions, my head is spinning already. PLease, help!!! Thank you all so much in advance, Dina.
Guest guest
Write off everything! Supplements, copayssafty equipment, milage on car, gas toAppointments.. Special foods! Your child requires these things to be on the road to recovery. Every cent spent on your child is tax deductable.
