Just back from Paed appointment and who went from 25th down to 2nd centile for height 11yrs ago and has been slowly gaining his health back through biomed ever since, who was at the 12the centile for height 3-6 months ago is now, today checking in at the........................................wait for it..................................25ht CENTILE for height, 50th for weight.Somebody crack open the s, it's taken years but we have him back to where he was before his health deteriorated so drastically.Worth adding he was checked as 14 when he isn't actually 14 till next week, well, you have to take every centimetre, lol.Also worth adding I reckon there's more to come because we don't know what he was before they started tracking this stuff. Guest guest Posted May 18, 2011 Report Share Posted May 18, 2011 The reason I got into biomed in the first place was because was so obviously sick, had he not been sick I may well have been a parent who would take the mainstream view that the kids have autism, probably genetic and live with it. He was not treated for his gut problems because he had an umbrella diagnosis of autism and no matter how hard I looked at the DMSV I could not find the bit that said our kids would not eat, have constant diahrea, stop growing, lose their hair and teeth. Sometimes good comes out of bad. Need to swot up on the chelation more though because there is no doubt that the last 6 months has seen a huge growth surge and zero candida, bacteria or parasitic infestation, I realise that teenage boys grow but then so do toddlers and never did. Been chelating a year last month, co-incidence? What or is there an Oxalate-Mercury connection? Vicky WOW! Can I ask a question about pyroluria - do you + - avoid Omega 3's and supplement Omega 6 if so - how much and which borage or EPO? Just reconsidering whether Omega 3's are a problem for DS after a lot of high level suplementation 2+gms per day. I don't give manganes simply because there is too much difference of opinion for me to want to try it with . I don't actively avoid Omega 3's but neither do I give every day and it will also depend on how is, if he were particularly anxious then I wouldn't give. I would love to give him Niacin as Iv'e heard good reports when dealing with Pyroluria but he gets the really scarey rash, must try niacinide one of these days. Here's the thing though this is an on going treatment, if I stop anything then gets anxious, voices, and just very strange, learnt this the hard way with a couple of really big crashes, it's a big worry because I was hoping there would be an end to this but trawling through all the OCD information it seems ongoing.
