Debbie,

I had never heard this- I’ll have to read more on

it. I drive about an hour southwest

to an apiary for honey.

Hello,

I had heard

many years ago regarding honey that for it to be of the best

benefit for us, we need to get our honey within a certain

mile radius of

where we live.

Very good point, Debbie. I thought of something like that but didn't

get it into words so elloquently! Supposedly San Texas is the

worst place on earth to live if one has allergies and if one is lucky

enough not to have them, just wait, they're comin'! I can attest to

that, but since I have erradicated sugar from my household and

started raw milk I have been cured! Seriously cured! Nonetheless, I

would still ike some fresh raw honey.......Does anyone know of a

honey source in my area? thanks.

Yes, I have heard this a lot. The reason for it is that honey from

local sources contains local pollen, which you are ingesting if you

ingest local honey. This exposes you to the pollens (just like allergy

shots) and helps you build immunities to them.

Next time I go to the apiary I’ll

pick up some pollen. I would think

that where I go is local enough. Last time there I bought 10# of honey in

the jar and 6 honey combs so I won’t need to go for awhile unless I do

some baking with it J

That's always been my understanding, and have heard from an allergist whom

confirmed this.
