Guest guest
this workout consists of 4 walking type workouts, each are one mile done in around 16 minutes: 1. bob harper leads class of 'the biggest loser' contestants... the most basic workout on the dvd but still a bit more strenuous than other workouts of this type. why cant bob mirror cue on a video workout? 2. a male contestant leads a cardio+sculpt workout (walking while using dumbells). while the contestant seems like a pleasant guy, and it is apparent that he has succeeded in his program there at the biggest loser, he is not a very good instructor :/ late or non-existant cues and mistakes, even the class couldnt keep up with him. he did try to avoid the right/left cueing conundrum though by saying he was going to step toward the woman beside him, so that was good. but this woman would chime in with comments (in one interesting tidbit she said that the BL made them walk for 4 hours a day, so this workout with the weights was nice for a change). i guess that she wasnt so bad, but normally i dont like it when people besides the instructor speak during the workout. this workout brought my heart rate down, so on to #3 3. thankfully bob comes back to lead workout 3 which starts off with walk/run intervals. i did these, felt better and then skipped to the next workout. i expect that the rest of this workout was ok, but i was beginning to feel a bit bored. 4. oh oh, the contestants are leading the workout again, this time it is the female. SKIP !! 5. a 5 minute cooldown is provided, but darnit, there are those two contestants again, and it isnt really a cooldown but some basic stretches... i skipped this too since i was going to do a stretch video next anyway. overall, i wouldnt put out any money for this dvd unless you are a die-hard fan of the show, bob harper or these contestants. there are much better videos available in this genre. i do like the fact that the BL uses the actual contestants in their workout videos but they should not have them pretending to be trainers and leading the workouts.... that seems lazy to me. :*carolyn.
