Guest guest
Dr will be discussing antivirals and immune modulation in great detail at TA conference. Are you with a doc who can prescribe? Our son has always been a good responder to most natural antivirals, but having said that my biggest regret, actually only regret, of 6 years of biomed has been not starting rx treatments sooner!! Valtrex did more for us in 2 months than OLE did in 2 years. Also things like Ketotifen – rx antihistamine, or Neuroprotek, as it is critical to keep mast cells calm/deactivated. Any immune stimulant, like reactive foods etc, will activate mast cells in our kids (because they are already desensitised). Activated mast cells release inflammatory molecules, which in turn reactivate viruses, keep BBB open etc. Dr Theoharides is doing some fab research on that, he will be talking about it at the conference J. I highly recommend Goldberg's book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Myth-Autism-Misunderstood-Epidemic-Destroying/dp/1616081716/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8 & s=books & qid=1303898706 & sr=8-1 – Also worth following Bradstreets blog for latest developments http://drbradstreet.org/ If you cannot or don't want to go rx route it is worth focusing for pharm grade supplements, like Enhansa or Artesunate/Artemisia (there is a pharm-grade extract, available as rx from Breakspear), Neuoprotek etc. Btw chelators are great antivirals ! Partly through through reducing cell oxidative stress, and partly through directly disintegrating viruses and inhibiting further replication. Also anything that boosts gsh that your child is not sensitive to... (kirkman td-gsh has been great for us). Other antiviral things that were helpful over the years: OLE, ldm-100, monolaurin, some hpthic remedies that I forgot names of J - all those were good for us but I view them as support sups until you can get big guns on board. P.S. be carefully when considering `immune boosters' – just "boosting" immune system may be contraindicated in many kids. Many `immune boosters' act via activating inflammatory pathways, which is the last thing our kids need. Natasa x >> I am doing AC chelation, and Scotson. Guest guest
Hi KirstyYou might also consider seeing Sasha the Russian Doctor who comes to Advance every three months... He looks at oxygenation levels and has a very effective blend of amino acids.. I have not used him for Tatijana, however I know that some on the group doing TST have seen him already. Guest guest
potentially yes, although data is conflicting. I could only find few studies, all in vitro looking at human blood-derived cells and coming up with different results. Some found decreases in nfkb (a crucial proinflammatory cytokine 'bad guy') and th1/th2 modulation towards th1, which sounded very good, but some found increases in tnf-alpha and il-6 etc cytokines (not good at all). > > > > > > I am doing AC chelation, and Scotson. Guest guest
Hello Kirsty. WE've tried viral treatment in the past with OLE,a few other thinks I can't remember, recently immunovir ,tried for a few months.I think it was helping to my son, no real respiratory problems he had during this period except hyperventilation, but this is different matter. I read the DrGoldberg's " The Myth of Autism " book , it made a lot of sense to me.I am considering anti viral treatment with Valtrex, dr Goyal mentioned once. After completing the Genomic test in Yasko protocol, I talked to Dr Mullan and asked her about antiviral treatment. She strongly said that my son's first issue to clear the gut, parasities and review his diet.I agreed.I think after strength the body, the second stage they are dealing with viruses, perhaps that stage if i can reach I will consider antiviral therapy with medication ..In the past we had a test fromImmunosciences lab -regarding the viral issues and my son showed viral weakness,he had Herpes, I am sure he still has.Perhaps you can try that sort of test to see if Sam has some weaknesses. Guest guest
Thank you. So it's a bit confusing when to use it - I remember reading that perhaps it's not a good idea to use it for 'flu - but it sounds as though elderberry is potentially auseful tool. I use Sambucus from Mandi - elderberry products from other places all seem to contain sugar and Sambucus doesn't. Margaret > > > > > > > > I am doing AC chelation, and Scotson. Guest guest
echinacea is another tricky one, acts as both anti-inflammatory and very PROinflammatory in some circumstances, imo need to be very cautious if using it Natasa > > > > > > > > > > I am doing AC chelation, and Scotson. Guest guest
I did a three week course of OLE with a couple of years back, with monolaurin etc. Didn't see any change. I use Enhansa currently off round and have been for about three weeks. No way will I go near LDM-100. Too scared to touch that stuff!!!! You seen on youtube what it did to Tim?! Guest guest
I am there on the saturday and leave sunday morning. I couldn't believe it when I got the list of who is talking and when! Trust me to stay for the beginners day!!! My friend is there on sunday so I have asked her to make loads of notes for me. Will there be the usual handout of their powerpoints so I can look at that too? Am not with a doctor that prescribes. I have ordered the Goldberg book on Amazon now so will read that when it comes through. Remind me what gsh is? Brain dead. On the enhansa already. Just feel there is something else missing with sam, something I have never addressed and think viruses must be it. Getting so many gains now, and able to eat alot more different food etc but his speech is plateauing and his understanding too. Thanks for all the info Natasa. Guest guest
Hi Kirsty, I don't know what happened to my previous message for responding this thread, it has just gone somewhere! Anyway, I read the Dr Goldberg's " The Myth of Autism " book, listened him on the youtube..It made alot of sense to me as my boy has Herpes virus. In the past he had viral panel from the immunosciences lab and showed viral weaknesses. That's why I believe we should try antiviral-valtrex treatment. In recent past he was on the immunovir, I think it was good.I will discuss this with Dr Goyal again. Guest guest
gsh is glutathione yes there will be handouts! we had a BIG leap in cognitive/understanding recently after starting ketotifen (on NHS prescription- email me), then again later with valtrex and then Neuroprotek . http://algonot.com/neuroprotek.php I'm hearing the same from few other parents so mostly likely not a coincidence... (also adults with ME brain fog seeing big cognitive gains, one described as "astounding" change in brain function). Some kids not able to tolerate quercetin in it, and doing ok on luteolin-only sups - there is lutimax and Beyond-a-century does some apparenly. hth > > >> > > I am doing AC chelation, and Scotson. Guest guest
I did start it before Christmas, really low and really slow, gave one drop each day for a week then increased by one drop each week after but then decided to do KIB500 so stopped but he was on it for about a month with no issues at all. I have been taking it myself and am currently up to 12 drops each day and apart from feeling quite emotional and tired/irritable i have no rash or any other issues. I dont think 3 weeks is enough with OLE, viruses can take as long as mercury to get rid of. Why do you only give enhansa on days off chelation? x To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: greenkirsty1@...Date: Wed, 27 Apr 2011 13:45:00 +0000Subject: Re: What step next to take with Sam I did a three week course of OLE with a couple of years back, with monolaurin etc. Didn't see any change.I use Enhansa currently off round and have been for about three weeks. No way will I go near LDM-100. Guest guest
imo you should not be doing frequent breaks with enhansa. not that frequent, and not in the beginning. could potentially cause resistance. > > > > > > Hi Kirsty > > > > I am doing olive leaf extract & Enhansa and also giving isoprinosine (following Dr Cheneys pulsing schedule) http://www.anapsid.org/cnd/diagnosis/cheneyis.html > > > > I am going to be starting LDM-100 with Harry soon. > > > > x > > > > > > > > To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe > > From: greenkirsty1@ > > Date: Wed, 27 Apr 2011 10:23:39 +0100 > > Subject: What step next to take with Sam > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I am doing AC chelation, and Scotson.
