gosh, i have no idea about hte legal issues, but i pay $175 or so US

dollars, per year for insurance in the US, so i cannot even imagine

paying $2500 (don't know the exchange rate). i am lucky to make

that much! (not trying to have a full time practice at this

time). good luck. i might consult with a lawyer .. .

Dear

other PP LC's;

I have some questions if you wouldn't mind

helping me out?

I have opened a PP in Ontario. Presently

I am in the search of pp insurance. Being in Canada, there aren't

that many insurance companies that cover LC's. I have found one and

the premiums will be a minimum of $2500.00 [Canadian] a year. That

is a ton of money...

I have also found a company in the States that

will cover me practicing in Canada, if I have an American address that

all papers be forwarded to me from. The premiums are a fraction of

the cost [roughly $300.00 Canadian].

If there is any litigation, it must be done in

the States.

I am just wondering how prudent this option

is.....

Thanx for helping... I am SO

confused!
