hey! its 'easy day' ! :)

so, about 'taebo postnatal power':

shellie blanks cimarosti leads this 60 minute (very) basic taebo

workout for new moms. i really like shellie, she is a good

instructor and very photogenic. and she seems like such a nice

person. i was hoping she would have learned in all of these

years to mirror-cue for the camera, but, nope! oh well, that is

her only flaw.

the workout is broken into parts -- a lengthy warmup, moves for

upper body, some for lower body, some standing abs (lots of

twists) mostly done single time... until the last segment where

she puts all of it together, done double time, for a cardio

routine.

cooldown is mediocre (a couple of tai chi moves) and the warmup

includes the stretches (oh, that makes two things that shellie

should know better by now!). but the workout is solid and one

that absolutely anyone could do with zero dread factor! lots of

walking in place, stepping side to side, some jabs, knee raises.

no kicking of any kind. lots of focus on the abs and core

with no crunching done on the floor.

i was surprised at the length of the workout... it would have

been better at 45 mins with a good 15 minute stretch. but it is

still a gentle taebo-inspired workout that i might do again on

'easy day'.

:*carolyn.

ps: it is easy day because i have a 5 hour shift in the deli this

afternoon/evening.

Easy days are good to have too. This actually appeals to me and I really dislike TaeBo workouts. I like a lot but he goes so fast that I can't do the moves with good form. Anyway, great job getting this in. An easy workout with a long shift on your feet is a good thing!
