Guest guest
I know the deer eat some grain and I know that some farmers probably use GMO corn, but I do not think it is used as much as in other places. I know the meat will not be perfect, but it is cheap. We can afford this meat. Some of you on this list must spend as much on food a year as what our annual household income is! Trying to eat well is very expensive. I do not think it should be. I commend the people that wrote in saying they charged about the same for their milk as the price in the store. I think this is wonderful. The dairy farmer is getting more than what he would get if he sold it to a creamery and the people are able to purchase nutritious food without the added yuppy costs. I really disagree with the person who wrote in telling this farmer they should sell their milk for more! Why make nutrition unatainable for the average person? I really think the goal should be to share with as many people as we can about nutrition and health not keep it from people in the name of making a huge profit. I think everyone should make an honest income for their product and some people should make more than others, but why charge an arm and a leg just because you can? Most people that I share information with their number one complaint is that it costs too much. Number two is of course the work. Grace, a Augustine I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough ''Hello's " to get you through the final goodbye. --anonymous ----- Original Message ----- From: safallon@... It's funny you should write about this because I have a letter from another person telling me about how much grain that these deer eat! Deer truly in the wild get some grains at the end of the summer--this is natural and helps them prepare for the winter. But the genetically modified grain will not be very healthy and they are also very highly sprayed. What a shame. Here we can buy frozen venison from new Zealand. This is " domesticated " but only pasture fed. So you are right--eat the deer fromMaine but not from the corn belt. Sally
