Guest guest
Awesome weights, Darcy, I always enjoy hearing what you use! I love using the body bars for the adduction - whoo hoo! Hope you got a good stretch in after all that hard work!!! Well, after dragging some butt this morning, I got my workout in despite I'm thrilled with the fact that tomorrow is a recovery day - yee-haw! I chose Jari's Get Ripped, and I'd be lying if I didn't say I wasn't happy with my poundage I normally don't go heavy enough on this one, I didn't want to make that mistake again today. I think I nailed most of 'em and worked them hard. Heck, my shoulders were trembling when I was on the floor for the ab-work yet. I also love the floorwork in this one, it breaks up the workout nicely. I plan to have some DOMS tomorrow! I burned 271 with my average at 101 in the end. squats: 38.5 lb bar chest: pushups on toes, and 38.5 lb bar for chest presses - TOUGH - I paused here and there for some rests at the top of the movement. pullovers: 1 20 lbs dumbell - Was spent from the chest, so I paused here and there againskull crushers and tricep presses: 22lb body bar... could have went up a bit, but I thought I better lighten up from the last two ex. kickin' my butt adductors and abductors - used 12lb body bar for a nice extra burn deadlifts and rows: 38.5 lbs barbell (tough my forearms were screaming more than anything else)lunges: 12lb dumbbells biceps: 28.5 barbellshoulders: 8's, I did most of them standing though abs: didn't take any rests to make them a bit more tougherDarcy

Guest guest
I thought i had answered Jen, maybe it didn't go through? Yes, I am still training, but I only have two clients, and right now one is in Guatemala (my midwife), and the other sprained her ankle. So, it's been a week or so since I've trained. I don't advertise, and will branch out one day when my boys are bigger. Right now, I like it simple and small! Guest guest
Ok I have to ask, Darcy you look amazing and the weights you lift omg I am so envious! If you could attribute your muscle mass to one program what would it be? Or if you used several programs can you tell me what they are? I own P90X and ChaLEAN (I have a pretty large collection but these are the only two I could think of that might get me ripped like that). I would definitely add some new DVDs to my collection if I knew I could have results like you! It is a new year and I want to make this year count, stick to my clean eating plan and build some serious muscle:) Would really love to know how to get "ripped" I am determined to do this!!! Thanks! Guest guest
Thank you so much for your kind words!! :)I really can't attribute it to one program. I guess I do most of my weight-lifting with Cathe. A lot if it IS genetics though. I work hard, but some might have to work twice as hard to have the physique I do. My brother also is quite the mesomorph. Of course, I also watch my diet pretty closely (when not pregnant..GRRR), and I get my fair share of cardio in. On average, I would say I workout 7 days on average, 7 hours a week. So, not a ton, but not a little either. Only very very very seldom do I miss a workout. And if I do, it's a planned miss (i.e. holiday or what-not). Hope this helps, and yes, with persistence and determination, you will surely get to your goals as well!!D  Ok I have to ask, Darcy you look amazing and the weights you lift omg I am so envious!
