Hi:

Kathy, we did eat together at Texas Acf. I was there to scope out speakers

for upcoming Area functions. I attended at least one of your presentations.

So many were wonderful. I had a great time.

And I did succeed in getting at least one of the speakers I suggested-

West will be at our Area Conference in Baton Rouge Nov 1-2. I had a long list

maybe I will be successful in getting a few more of my favorite speakers for

upcoming functions.

I have attended about six events/conferences in the last 18 months and am

enjoying the different flavor each has. I find the differences between LLL

Conferences, HPS, and events like LLCA( La.) interesting. I like the warm

fuzzy feeling at League events, but also like the depth of the curriculum at

professional events.

Thanks for saying Hi again.Maybe I will head to Texas again in the future. I

am not that far away.

Tricia

Lainy,

Rather than spend all that time reading our pooled knowledge (which sometimes is pooled ignorance) go to a highly credible source. Read Dr. Ron Schmid's book "The Untold Story of Milk". See http://www.drrons.com/untoldstoryofmilk.html

He details all the health benefits of raw milk, common myths about the health risks and an excellent history on how things came to be the way they are.

You'll also find excellent material at the Weston A. Price foundation. See http://www.realmilk.com/

Welcome Lainy! So good to have you. I too wish I hadn't found out about raw

milk till so

late in life. There is SO much to learn. is right, realmilk.com has a

wealth of

information and will blow your mind! Also, it has chapter leaders around the

globe listed

there whose job it is to know of sources for raw milk. You may find a leader

close to you

who can point you in the right direction. Kefir is a strong probiotic, stronger

than yogurt

really and VERY easy to make, once you have kefir grains. It has healed a

multitude of

people from a multitude off illnesses. It is a thick liquid in it's finished

form, similar to

plain yogurt in taste, as in sour, and you can eat it sweetened in a bowl, or

drink it mixed

with juice, or put it in a smoothie...just however you prefer. Here's a great

kefir site to

learn from: http://users.chariot.net.au/~dna/kefirpage.html. Anyway, happy

learning and

welcome!
