Guest guest
Goat milk kefir is runnier (easier strainable ) than cows milk kefir. But the grains do fine on both. I only get goats milk very seldom, but they have no problem changing. CU Anja > Also, in all of the reading I've done, I haven't seen anything about any differences in making cow's milk vs goat's milk kefir....anyone with more knowledge on the subject? I'd love to hear what you have to say. I'd be starting with cow's milk, but hopefully trying some goat's milk soon. > wren

Guest guest
Hi Tonio, I put them in about 1 cup of fresh raw milk and seal them in 2 food saver bags, one inside the other for just in case protection. I just squeeze as much air out as I can and use the seal only function to close to bags. Then I put them in a small box to USPS proof them and ship them out priority. I fold the bag over to keep the milk in one area and keep them from getting squished. I have had no complaints yet and plenty of good coments on this method - and best of all, it doesn't leak! > , > How do you ship your grains? Thanks, > Tonio
Guest guest
Oh that's right. You sent me the Kombucha scooby that way. I've been told that method will also work with ziplock bags, though I haven't tried yet. In a few weeks I will. Thanks again (I'm loving the Kombucha tea) Tonio Hi Tonio,I put them in about 1 cup of fresh raw milk and seal them in 2 foodsaver bags, one inside the other for just in case protection.
