Hi AlisonAs a guide we only ever changed on thing at a time.. with a few days in between doing anything else and kept a very detailed diary.. just to understand what is and is not working.

DD never did well on too many changes at once. The dark urine would either indicate detox or dehydration.. may need to watch fluid intake. In this house with DS.. anything with a citrate in it causes huge nausea and stomach cramps and seems to affect his liver.. so may be worth looking at the magnesium citrate and seeing if there is another way of getting magnesium.. perhaps through a food.. or in an ionic forumlation?

Hello

I think Charlie is going through huge dettox - feels a bit scary as not been here before - thats why I want to check it out with others to make sure I'm thinking on the right track.

They positioning of the rash and bladder issues may be linked.. rashes are usually safest way for body to detox... look too to see if with increased heat he is being iritated by washing powders... also is he potty trained... if not the rash would lie in area where wee would go if he was wearing nappies..

Our youngest Ds always had high night fevers with food intolerances.. his temps would creep up to 40 degrees.. his was triggered by lactose.Best Wishes

Tracey

Changes we have made that must be cause of this are:

lower protein, removed high sulphur foods (as genetics show this is a problem for him),

increased molybdenum from 100ug to 200 ug

changed from magnesium glycinate to mg citrate (think he was reacting to glycinate.

Symptomns: absolutley manic!!!, very sensitive, crying at everything such as light wind blowing. He urine is very dark and he has a rash on buttocks, groin area and top of legs - looks like sweat rash - is this yeast. If so can I put anything on in. Againif so to increase yeast protocol can I add a little custom pro biotics to culturelle. I can also increase biocidin.

Also won't eat and not sleeping well. Had a temp for last 2 nights - just at night. He hasn't got a virus.

Any thoughts on from those who have been here? Am I on right track or totally wrong.

Hi Alison,

Citrates not good for us either.

A lot of times we had to pull back and try things over again. I'd undo your

changes and try them one at a time to see if you can find the source of the

problem.

Hope things soon improve,

Sandy

(PS - we couldn't do low protein - it was recommended based on our Yasko

results/tests but we would have had a food-free diet.)

Sandy what source of magnesium did you use.  He definitely needs it, liquid would be better but a lot of the yasko liquid products contain benzoates (as you will well know). Its made mme feel a bit better about the protein - we too would be virtually food free (apart from the rubbish he likes which has no nutritional value).

ThanksAlison

Hi Alison,

We have used various magnesiums (testing in the past helped choose which type).

We like Metabolics magnesium malate and also I remember we used e-lyte liquid

magnesium.

Best wishes,

Sandy

I used to use Sudacream when Sam got like this, I think it was yeast. I used CP1, Culturelle and Sacc B, not rotating, all at the same time FWIW
