I am confused about the use of dilaudid. I never heard of pain management in the

treatment of cirrhosis. Are you sure he doesn't just have a hernia? Perhaps

fibromyalgia?

He definately has cirrhosis. The pain is from the

ascities, I believe but I will ask his doctor about it. He

also has Hepatitis C which didn't respond to

interfeuron/rebetrol. He complains about pain all the time. Thanks for

your input!!!
,

I have never heard ascites to be

painful, annoying perhaps, but not painful.

I have

been thinking he has gallstones. Gallstones are

painful. Also if the gallbladder is blocked biliary

cirrhosis occurs.

Unfortunately there is no cure for

Hepatitus C.

Storm.....
I understand the plight with your

husband somewhat. Each are somehow a little different I

will state though to begin with. But....In saying that

I also experience severe craps....It is mostly

caused from a lack of POTASSIUM...When ever I have had

bad cramps I take POTASSIUM...it works! You can get

the 99 milligram from health food stores or whatever.

If the cramps are bad I have taken one every hour or

2 then started spacing it as it got less. Ascites

....I have also and the best you can do is make sure NO

SALT IN FOOD.I mean read the labels if he wants to

keep off the fluid. You can write me personelly if you

want at R_Underwood@...
