Guest guest
Currently I am using Turmeric by Rexall and Resveratrol by Paradise Herbs. My whole family is on these. We love them. I am going to be adding some more real soon. I am studying Dr. Cowden's protocol from www.lymeinducedautism.com , click on treatments, alternative. I have read Buhner's and am just looking at many things right now to put together a good plan. Guest guest
Hi Heidi, Regarding Dr Lee Cowden's protocol, is it possible to "do-it-yourself" by reading the documents on the site, or is it necessary to consult with him? What would be the benefit of consulting? Thanks Pramila Re: What natural antibacterials are best? Currently I am using Turmeric by Rexall and Resveratrol by Paradise Herbs. Guest guest
I am not a Cowden expert yet, but I believe you can do a lot on your own. I have recovered my children (still dependent upon supplements and diet) myself. I only took one in for some DAN testing. I think everyone needs to make decisions based on their knowledge, finances, access, insurance, time, etc. I say read about Dr. Cowden's protocol and then ask questions as they come up. Just take it one step at a time. I just found out that there is a Naturopath in my town, so I will be visiting her and seeing what she can offer. I think as you learn, you will feel confident in doing some things on your own, and other times, you will want to ask for help, and maybe even go to medical docs or alternative health practitioners. There are so many choices. I tell everyone that its not so much the choice you make, but doing the choice correctly that counts. Thus, plunge in, read all about the treatment choices on www.lymeinducedautism.com and there are others one can point you to also, if you are looking for something different. As you read about these choices, ideas will come to you on a good path for you to take. Best wishes, Heidi N Hi Heidi,Regarding Dr Lee Cowden's protocol, is it possible to "do-it-yourself" by reading the documents on the site, or is it necessary to consult with him? Guest guest
Thank you so much. I think you are right that there is a lot we can do on our own. I will read the documents and get started I guess. We do IVIG... the ultimate goal is to be able to wean him off of it. Pramila Re: What natural antibacterials are best? Guest guest
My son has done mainly naturals, that's the first road I usually desire for him. Interestingly the natural usually ART (high level form of muscle testing) best for his body. I could not be more impressed with Dr. Amy Derksen (trained under Dr. Klinghardt) and Dr. Sheehan (who is well trained in both Dr. Cowden's and Dr. protocols and cold laser treatments). My son has greatly benefitted from both Dr. Cowden's and Dr. Gonzale's protocol. I did not start my son till he was 6 (he's 9 1/2 now) and they have done remarkable things with him. He is not recovered yet, but I am very please with were they have taken him in such a short time. Dr. Amy substantially reduced his Lyme stress over a year ago with Spironil. Last year he's also used Stephania Root for anti-viral. He has used Pleo Not/Pleo Strep, Super Immune Plus (L-Lysine, OLE, Astragulas Root) and 3 rounds (60-90 days each) of LDM100, all directed by doctors and all very successfully. If you would like to know more about Dr. Amy and Dr. Klinghardt's protocol, a good source of information is at Defeat Autism Yesterday: http://www.defeatautismyesterday.com/drKandAautismprotocol.htm Here's a copy of the protocol Lyme section (from November 2005, they have added some things since 2005): " LYME: PC-Samento (BioPure) PC-Noni (BioPure) SiroNil Cumanda PhytoLymex (Nutriwest) Lyme CD " From there, they ART test to see which is the best one for your child. The link for Defeat Autism Yesterday's many reference documents are: http://www.defeatautismyesterday.com/DAYsitepages.htm Here's some links to cold laser information www.laser.nu grtseminars.com for Quantum Neurology docs – who do nervous system (motor & sensory deficits) w/ cold laser Dr. Cowden: www.radicalmedicine.com Also see his Lyme info: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0ISW/is_285/ai_n19170373 My son is currently detoxing Epstein Barr Virus naturally with both Dr. Cowden's detox program and an Epstein Barr homeopathic. He has done quite well on this. I see both Dr. Amy and Dr. on Monday for a current evaluation. I'm seeing Dr. Amy monthly right now as I'm doing some intensive detoxing. (Last year I only saw her 4 times to put my treatments in perspective. I've done A LOT on my own, but when I got to this current level of detox (viral, metal and bacterial), I've had to hit it on a good doctor's level. Hope this helps. Rita > > Thank you so much. Guest guest
Pramila, Dr Cowden told me I could start his protocol with my son a few months prior to my appointment with him. He knew I was just going by what I read online. As it turned out they had a cancellation and moved our appointment up by 2 mos. Interestingly, when Dr. Cowden muscle tested my son he took him off the Samento, which is a staple of his protocol. For some reason, the Samento wasn't good for my son. Made the protocol cheaper . > > > > Does anyone here use natural products to kill lyme and other > bacteria? > > thanks, > > cori > > > > > > > > _____________________________________________________________________ _______________ > Never miss a thing. Guest guest
I see... thanks. My son had a negative Igenex test for Lyme, but i am still interested in a protocol for multiple infections since he is a responder to IVIG (that i want to wean him off of), still possibly has chronic inflammation ... so i am interested in looking into protocols such as these. (I dont know if he really is free of Lyme). Does anyone use the protocol even if negative for Lyme? if so, does the protocol as it is written address other pathogens? Thanks so much for all the responses, Pramila Re: What natural antibacterials are best? Pramila,Dr Cowden told me I could start his protocol with my son a few months prior to my appointment with him. Guest guest
I have read about people testing negative and then re-testing and testing positive; actually, I have read this often. It is also possible that his main problem can be viral as well. For example, I have heard miraculous stories from children taking an antiviral like low-dose naltrexone, yet other children don't improve at all on it. Thus, we all have pathogens, but they vary. I have noticed that many products work on bad bacteria, yeast and viruses at the same time, thus, I support your plan. Besides, I also believe one should treat for all pathogens (worms, protozoa, viruses, and bad bacteria) because testing can be very difficult and unreliable. Guest guest
Has anyone tried Oil of Oregano? I spoke to a chonic Lyme sufferer and he said he was cured after taking Oil of Oregano. I'm told it works on bacterial as well as fungal infections. > > I have read about people testing negative and then re-testing and testing > positive; actually, I have read this often. Guest guest
I have heard it kills lyme, and see it on forums often, being used for children with autism. Sorry, that's all I know.
