Guest guest
Hi Suzanne, Diego is on the 49th day of Valtrex (250 3x/day) and we still have odd behavior and a few gains. Diego's eye contact and awareness of his surroundings are definitely better. Also he is less afraid of new environments, crowds (like at the mall) or noise. However he still jumps, runs, giggles and has a few OCD behaviors. I think it is a complicated and different situation for every child. Too many things are happening at the same time. I will continue with Valtrex while seeing at least a few gains. You should wait a little bit more, hang in there! Regards, .- Hi,Today is day 30 for the Valtrex and our daughter (9) is showing nosigns of coming out of this regression. I am getting a littleconcerned as I am seeing behaviors that seem to be taking hold ashabits, almost. What concerns me most is: 1. general communication is now worse (as compared to before Valtrexor even to the first week of Valtrex where she improved slightly)--sherarely talks to us except to ask us basic questions or to tell us to " go away " . 2. She wants to spend all her time at home alone and not be talked toby anybody. 3. Her sensory issues are very heightened. Especially when it comesto noise and brushing her hair. 4. She has been sick with cold symptoms off and on for weeks. Now sheseems to have this permanent clogged throat, prompting lots ofthroat-clearing. 5. She is pacing/running/jumping a lot in the house, but this could bedue to boredom. 6. She is doing a lot more repetitive self-talk. 7. I have also seen some mouthing of objects, which she normally doesnot do. 8. Finally, she is incredibly anxious, especially about the ritualsthat she has created.I saw Stan's post that mentioned regressions lasting 40 days but Idon't like my daughter's new " norm " that she seems to be settiling into. Guest guest
my son is no longer on valtrex, but, i remember when we tried on him. it took THREE tries (separate times, months apart) to finally make it. my son initially reacted horribly to valtrex and that was after washing the blue dye off. we then switched to famvir. third try on valtrex was a charm. my son was on it for a while and i really didn't see much progress from it. i use lauricidin presently and oil of oregano. may do valtrex again at some point. my son definitely has viral issues so, for all those parents whose children are having a hard time on valtrex, hang in there. vicki (new member)
Guest guest
Hi ne, our son is not on Valtrex but has had some of the symptoms you mention: mouthing of objects is fairly typical when beggining mb12 (shots). Our son also had it when we introduced SCDiet. This is supposedly due to the 'awakening' of peripheral nerves. the tingling feeling. So it might actually be a positive sign. The same could be true of the hightened sensory issues. Symptoms of cold/cough/raised temperature are also quite common. If you go back and browse throught this list you'll find this discussed quite a lot. Good luck, Natasa > > Hi, > > Today is day 30 for the Valtrex and our daughter (9) is showing no > signs of coming out of this regression.
