Thank you everyone for your responses....

As far as mag citrate goes is that the same as taking

I just saw aloe vera juice at walmart and thought of this group. How

much do you use? I have a 4 year old and she goes almost everyday

(even off miralax), but it is very hard (she's gotten a hemorroid even

on miralax). We've been using magnesium citrate, which is a pretty

good equivalent. I have to say, though, that she was like clockwork on

the miralax, but now she's a bit random in the day and the consistency

of the stool has a pretty wide range, from soupy/pudding like to very

formed. We also give her 1000 mg vit.C. I'm not giving her a flu shot

this year due to the mercury in it and her neurological disorder, so I

hope the vit. C does a double whammy of protecting her.

Back to my actual question: Is the aloe vera juice just a stool

softener? If it is, I suppose we don't need to try it since the mag.

and vit. C is taking care of that, and I do want to find a consistent

maintenance dose for her.

Any wisdom would be helpful. Thanks

Deb

HI Deb i have no advice on the aloe vera juice. But did want to point

out something about the flu shot. There are 3 different types of flu

shots. ONly 2 (that contain the live virus) have thermisal (mercury)

in them. These 2 flu shots (one being flu-mist) are NOT given to any

child below the age of 13 yrs of age. The flu shot routinely given

for vaccinating children is a " dead " form of the virus, and contains

absolutely no thermisal (mercury) what so ever. You can request to

see the vile prior to the shot being given, it will have a red label

saying " preservitive/additive free " in bold letters. No childhood

vaccine given in the US today contains thermosal (mercurty) as an

ingrediant or preservative. Not trying to sway your decision against

the flu vaccine, but wanted you to know that the vaccine given to

young children does not contain mercury. HTH

Maybe this is OT, but why would mercury be okay for kids/adults over age 13? I mean, the brain has so much plasticity, it's always developing...Bonnie
