Guest guest
Just wanted to thank those who responded to my note -- I really appreciate your comments. Having another child now will certainly be a bigger decision for us than when we decided to have our first two, but we're trusting in the Lord to help us make the right decision. Thanks again. -Deborah (mommy to Logan, 2.5 and Shane, 9 mos, MDS)
Guest guest
Deborah - I am also struggling with this issue. I always wanted to have 3 children and so did my husband, I still do he does not. I am slightly AR so I made a list of pros and cons. I hope I do not offend everyone but I wanted to make a " worst case " scenario list, one where I assume will never be able to live on her own. I am very hopeful and there are good signs that this won't be the case but again I wanted to cover all the bases.. Pros I think 3 is a good number of children to have. It would give the chance to have a " normal " sibling relationship. It would give another person to share the responsibility of caring for his sister. It would give me a better chance at having grandchildren. It would give me a chance to have a " normal " daughter. Cons A new baby would take time away from the kids I already have. 3 in daycare would bankrupt us - One of us would have to quit or we would need a nanny. Would I be able to give the attention she needs with a new baby? Would we be able to financially afford 2 college tuition and life care for if needed? We could have another child with special needs.
