Guest guest
Hi MaRIA I hope this is not a very emergent question! I will get back to you tomorrow as I might have the exact translation within one of my recent jobs and no access to my computer right now, Good luck anyways.Isabelle.> Does anyone know what the following terms mean and how to translate them > in > to > English? 0-Ebene, U-I-Ebene and I-Ebene > Context: > Hoehenstand des vorangehenden Teils (des Kindes): > über BE (= Beckeneingang) > 0-Ebene > U-I-Ebene > I-Ebene und tiefer > > Thank you, > > > >
Guest guest
Thanks! I found out what these " Ebenen " are but I still don't know a translation into English. O-Ebene = obere Schossfugenrandebene (Oberrand Symphyse -Promotorium) U-Ebene = untere Schossfugenrandebene I-Ebene = Interspinalebene (Spinae ischiadicae) They are called " Parallelebenen nach Hodge " . In Dorland's, the Hodge's planes are described without names. Maybe there are no specific names in English.

I found out what these " Ebenen " are but I still don't know a translation into English. Hi , Here are the definitions of O-, U-, I-, and T-Ebene found in the Reallexikon der Medizin (Urban & Schwarzenberg) and the translations suggested in this dictionary. (EN: lower pelvic inlet plane) O-Ebene = obere Schossfugenrandebene (Oberrand Symphyse -Promotorium) U-Ebene = untere Schossfugenrandebene I-Ebene = Interspinalebene (Spinae ischiadicae) They are called " Parallelebenen nach Hodge " . I could not find Hodge planes but only the " fetal descent in relation to ischial spines " under that the " presenting part (vorangehender Kindsteil = Leitstelle) above spines/at spines/below spines " and under " level of presenting part in relation to ischial spines " I find 10 levels (from -5 level to 5 level). This looks like a different approach in the two languages and I find no equivalent of the " SChoßfugenrandebene " but what I find uses the level above or below the ischial spines. Not sure whether this can help.
