Why are you considering a switch? Convenience, or looking for better

results?

We are on day 1 of our nasal spray. I can't help you out much with

experience, but Ian had an awesome day! He even answered with " I love

you " after my husband said it first. NEVER has he done that for my

husband. Only twice has he done that for me, and only after I said it

several times. The response didn't have that *feeling* in it, but the

fact that he was busy doing something else, actually listened, and

responded immediately is pretty cool!

Good luck with your decision. I never did do the shots with my son:

husband didn't want to.

My guess is that some people will like the spray better. I am one of them. I

get more from

the spray and use the spray less often. The spray works better than the shots.

I suspect that some people will do better on the shots as well. We are learning

who

responds best to what.

Several studies have shown that Nasal Spray is as effective as IV. That's quite

a claim. To

me, it's more convienent. Easier to pack.. once you learn the administration it

is quick and

easy. Of course some people prefer a shot to a spray. We've learned that as

well.

My message would be to try them out and use what works best for you.

I have seen less side effects from the spray than the shots. That's an early

observation,

and time will tell. I also notice the spray works quicker. I've seen results

in minutes...

literally. But everyone responds differently, so the best way to find out for

you is to try

them and see what you like better.

For me, it's the spray.

The main reason why we are considering the switch is that our DAN

wants to know if the response could be even better then the one we

have with the shots. Of course it would be more convenient and

easier for him in the case he has to take this for the rest of his

life.....

What about both - like shots once a week (for a slow leeching effect) and nasal in between (for a more immediate short term effect). Has anyone tried this?

Well, I was asking based on my experience with other nasal sprays. Afrin for example lasts very short term. I know I may be comparing apples and oranges here, but I would think the same type of absorption would occur.

Re: Nasal x shots

Hi ,You are assuming that the spray doesn't have a sustained effect. In my opinion that is not the case. Dr. Neubrander and I had a discussion about this. He believes the nasal mucosa may be acting the same way (or possibly better) than sub-q fat at absorbing the spray and then slowly releasing it. Another element that I suspect may be playing a role is the PH balance in the nasal is better than in the sub-q fat. MB12 molecules break down in the presence of acid and our kids typically have high acid from intestinal bacteria and fungus in the gut. I used to do the shots every day and I do the spray every second or third day. That said, I believe there may be value in alternating the shots and the spray but for different reasons.Let us know what you experience.- Stan> > >> > > We have been giving the shots since last June and our DAN has > > > recommended to test the nasal now. Hi ,

It seems different, at least in the case of MB12. You probably need a

high concentration of Afrin to keep it going (I'm guessing). In the

case of MB12, you may only need a little.

Either way, as you try the spray compared to the shots, let us know

what you observe. Seeing it yourself might change your belief.

Hi ,

I think adenosyl would work the same way as methyl (in the shots and

the spray). But, it's a good idea to make sure you need adenosyl

before jumping in of course.

Wow! Look at the ingredients for Afrin. Thimerasol is used as a

preservative. I wouldn't touch it. I hope you have discontinued the

Afrin.

Stan--

Thanks for the concern. My son's doc wants him to stay

on the adenosyl with the methyl (at least for now).

I spoke with our friends at Coastal. The pharmacist thought

just as you said...it should work as well as, if not better than,

the shots. I just need to ask my son's doc for a prescription.
