Guest guest
Your husband's reaction is very common in our society today. In more cases than not, our children can't digest rice and starches and these foods feed bacteria and fungus. I suggest that you watch the Elaine Gottschall Tribute Video on my website www.recoveryvideos.com Elaine explains what rice and starches do to our kids. More than 1 million of her books have been sold and many of these families are doing better because of her. I haven't heard of anyone who had higher levels of bacteria based on too much protien, although too much of anything is bad. I can tell you that my son is one of the blessed kids who is recovering quite well and he has not had rice in almost two years. Many families report the same thing. Keep helping your husband get educated. There are many social, cultural and economic reasons we have been programmed to eat starches and grains. This momentum is working against you and your family. Keep researching and educating yourself. I would also add a good probiotic acidophilus. That will help with the bacteria. I would also try to swich from Nystatin to Diflucan. We often see that do a better job at controlling tbe bacteria and fungus. Rice will feed bacteria - plain and simple... and in our kids it's a bad thing. IMO - Stan > > Stan and everyone > My son start almost SCD diet for two more weeks, > during this time we also start Oregno, GSE, and > nystatin, digest enzymes which are suggested by our > DAN doctor. Guest guest
Hi Betty, If the OATS test looks good, then I would think your child's bacteria and fungal levels are getting better and I would STAY on course. If you reintroduce bad foods, typically we see the child regress. - Stan > > Sorry, I forgot to add that his OAT test from local > quest lab shows normal. > > Betty
