Guest guest
The vision problems I've been having have been getting worse and nothing we try to fix it seems to help, I've tried all kinds of prism lenses and also botox treatment but I'm not getting anywhere and my eye doc isn't listening to me and thinks he's basically " fixed " the problem at least short term, even though I'm still having problems (long story) Anyway, he admits the problem may be caused by chiari because we can't find any other explanation for it. What happens is weird, and the eye docs keep calling it " double vision " but I'm not seeing double at all - it's almost like the opposite problem, where I will be looking at two objects, say a chair and a table next to eachother, and the two objects will overlap the same space - it's not constant and I can correct it but it makes things difficult and causes problems with daily activities like driving, walking down stairs and cutting vegetables - because I'm not confident an object is really where it seems to be. Because chairi surgery is not a likely option (I don't think my symptoms are bad enough because I manage with daily life and am not in severe pain with headaches etc) I'm wondering if anyone is aware of any other possible approaches to dealing with symptoms like this outside the normal ophthalmological field (ie, lenses, botox, eye surgery) I am planning a trip to TCI in November (I'm from Australia) but that's still a long way off and still not 100% definite yet.
