You can't wash away mold.

Dear Ones,

Mold sometimes grows up inside a scoby and you can't see it. Once a scoby is

contaminated with mold, it's good-bye baby.

You have to throw out the scoby, the KT and any relative of that scoby and start

over.

Then you have to sterilize all your utensils and brewing containers with

vinegar. Use no clorox or strong chemicals.

Just to repeat what I just posted-- once you can see a spot of mold, the

mold is also growing elsewhere where you can't see it. Don't worry, if you

don't see mold, you don't have it.
