Very good question Marg, I have documents, I've obtained by my doc, who helped me research this, that say that 4% is absorbed in a normal colon, after hearing many many stories, and talking this over with my doc, we think some of it gets lodged in the kidneys, it binds to calcium and creates oxalate crystals which block the kidney, resulting in kidney failure, he say's this is no different than what happened to the pet food recall. They died the same way. I also have a doc that said it crossed the blood barrier of the brain, so where did it go? In my opinion, you're absorbing it..............
