I love these too although I do not eat them, my friends are telling me to just go outside and eat the tree bark since I no longer eat as they put it ANYTHING! While at the park yesterday I found some raspberries bushes and gathered some of them and then changed my mind because I did not know if they were sprayed or not. always something! Anyway ia m getting better and have seen an improvement since I started this diet, I know you are not supposed to get better so quick but I have, placebo effect? Guest guest
Exactly which diet are you on? I am in search of something that will work for me before it is too late. I don't think it has a name, if it does I am not aware of it. Here I eat no dairy, no red meat, no grains or rice. I eat chicken (buy it fresh from a local poultry farm) and I eat fish, nuts, berries, fruit and I do eat sprouts and alfalfa I use only extra virgin olive oil and eat all the veggies I want, but eat them raw. After two weeks (I had withdraw symptom or detox symptoms, had a huge rash and nausea) I started to feel wonderful. I am walking with a cane now. was in a chair. good luck Gwen

Only I do cook the veggies I don't like raw, like sweet potatoes, potatoes, broccoli and asparagus. Other than that, sounds just like my diet. I follow the Best Bet Diet, but eliminate the grains pretty much altogether, but I don't eat legumes, eggs or yeast, which are no-nos on it too. Occasionally I will throw some on the Forman grill for about 3 min. they are still raw but easier to eat. I follow the recommendations for 'avoids' on that diet, but I also avoid even more! LOL. It kind of came about when I went on a candida diet a year ago. Until then, I was on the BBD. Guest guest
sometimes wonder if I take way too Carol, I tried various different things and the only thing I can say made me feel different was CO enzyme cq-10. and in fact the Alfa lipid acid is what i blame for my last relapse. i think it boosted my immune system way to much. i had tried a lot of different supplements last year while on a low carb diet (but was still eating the meat and dairy) Now I just can't afford anything other that what I take and I don't think I would take anything other than c and b and cq-10. Interesting enough a friend bought me a jar of St. ives cq-10 face cream, we both started to use it at the same time and I swear by this stuff, with in a month I noticed that her face looked at least 5 years younger and in about 6 weeks I noticed a great improvement in mine, the wrinkles were so dimisnished. people started to tell me that I was looking younger. I know in Japan they use cq-10 for everything including a certain type of heart disease, I simply do not buy and take it because of the cost. Guest guest
Carol, you and I have debated diet for some time now (both being on low-carb with no grains or sugars) so I was surprised when I read your post that you eat potatoes. Is that ok on BB? That surprises me, as it seemed to be that BB was more consistent with paleo, and raw potatoes are toxic. Just curious as to why Ashton Embry included potatoes?? Gwen, I don't think I've been able to tell any difference in the way I feel from any supplements, except DHEA (strength) and ginkgo biloba (memory). But, I don't know that you'd be able to tell with most supplements. Just like vitamin C, you don't notice feeling any different, but it has a huge effect inside you. I'll have to look into the cream you spoke of. Carol

Guest guest
Sorry to butt in, I was just wondering - what diet? Best Bet? I can't find anything other than everyone's conversations regarding this. When you were on low-carb, is that Dr. Atkins? I was on that for a while and felt great, but my doctor said "oh NO! You could destroy your liver, etc." I've been on copaxone for one week, but can't stand the side effects (wrenching stomach pain and loss of bowel control!) If you were talking to me............. am on the Best Bet diet, but I have revised it to be low carb. No, I don't do Atkins, because it's too much saturated fat. All that meat is probably what the doctor thinks would be hard on the liver. The diet I'm on is very good for the liver, in fact. That's too bad about Copaxone, I can't understand it. All Copaxone is is 4 amino acids and a synthetic sugar, all of which are in many of the foods we eat all the time. Or I should say the foods that most people eat all the time. It's too bad, because they are showing such fantastic results for the people who have been on it over 5-6 years. Carol

Guest guest
I would move the computer into a public place in the house for a start and be nearby when he is online. That is good practice for parents anyway for a number of reasons. Regarding porn sites, i think people need to clarify their values on that. If masturbation is ok, why is material that stimulates masturbation not ok? Maybe it is the exploitive nature of porn, maybe something else. the thing is that hormones are really powerful, and kids with a strong libido are driven to do anything that they can to satisfy that. They are not going to take on everything mommy says. Personally, i would explain my objection to pornographic material and then supervise the computer. when my son had playboy under the bed, i chose not to notice because i thought the results of having affairs with pictures were less of a problem than bonking a classmate. >  Date: Sun, 04 May 2003 21:11:33 -0700 >  >Subject: Re: Oh, geez, please read and advise.... > >Cerulean danced around singing: >>Went through the 'history' of sites visited and it >>turns out my son (l4 next week) has been perusing >>cartoon porn sites. >>   I know he's at that age and curious and 'boys will >>be boys' but...I don't want him using the internet for >>that.  Guess I have to take a deep breath and play the >>'heavy' of the 'parent' here, and tell him, and he'll >>be mortified and embarassed, and I don't want to do >>this without shaming him about being curious and his >>sexuality....
