I am no adviser for this particular problem, but let me ask something... Did you try to go from the other end? I mean, have you been doing anything to strengthen your son's immune system? It seems that might be the main problem, because he is not the only one who lives so close to pigeons, but he is the only one who gets sick again and reacts so badly to this infection. I am so sorry for you and Pani, and sorry I cannot offer more advice...

I wonder if LDM-100 could be of some help... Or some transfer factor... May be more knowledgeable moms from this group will have more to say...

April 2008, Pani, my son, get a regression in behavior and when I make the test, test show that he have Cryptococcus tii....!!!All the spring and summer get from one to another Cryptococcus, bacteria etc etc....At the end of the summer I make a little reaserch why my Pani have all the time Crypt. laut\rentii, Humicolis , etc etc... and I found that all these are conected with the Wild Pigeons that we have on our balconies and wondows..... April 2009, these days, I see change in Pani behavior, instead I give him Diflucan, that he tolerate very well, but his behavior come these days more worst..I took a stool sample in lab 2 days ago..I get the test result today.... can you gues what is it???::::: CRYPTOCOCUS LAURENTII !!!!!!!!!AGAIN !!!!!!!?????? My concern about LDM-100 would be if your child is not ready, it could stir

things up as it's not a 1st line defence...although once you have your 1st line

out of the way, it very well may help you knock this down and kick it out. For

now I'd say don't do the LDM-100....I'd try & knock it down with either

homepathic or turn up your dad-o-meter and get that feeling about what would be

best from the above list from DrA. You definately need to get this under control

so you don't deal w/the more severe side of this.

Thanks for your reply...

Last year I was adviced to make a immuno test with my son... and as I remeber the test resulkts were OK...

I was adviced that the source of this problems ar the pigeons and that I will have to move from this appartment......

I have TF at home, I use to give him, but, beleive that he dont tolerate well..

maybe I will have to re start again...

Its very interesting that pani start to cough....

He is not ill but he cough....

Im affraid of some respiratory infection or this may be an allergic reaction...

When I reming my self, my son, always regress in spring and summer time..

I was on opinion that he dont toplerate the sun or summer time....

On winter time he is better and OK...

Now, I beleive that all this is from the pigeons....

Last spring, same month April..., I make the test and was the same Cryptococcus laurentii...

Drs here recoment me Nystatine and thats all....

But my son goes from one to another Cryptococcus, tii, Echer Colli, Crypto again, all sumer....

I was very worried why my son jump from one to another Cruptococcus etc etc....

Drs here dont take all this seriously, but my son was very regressed and this take all spring and summer...

I September, I try to read and find mconnection between these different tipes of Cryptococcus - and find on Internet, that all of them, main sopurce is the Wild Pigeons...

I was amased... we live at last floor in building and we have hundrets f pigeons around, on balcony, windows etc etc.

A pigeons drops are on windoews and I see my son touch them many times.....

We use to have a pigeon nest on our balcony... all summer last year......

When I read all this and ask for advice in USA, all reply me that this is the general source of the Crypto infection in my son.......

As summer go, my son get better and all winter he was fine...

I beleive that Crypto gone on its own, as we close the windows and balconies in winter time.....

With first spring and opening windows and balcony, he get the same Crypto problem...

Im affraid that he start to cough.. more and more, he is not ill, but cough...

Some advice that this cough may be allergic reaction, not infection.....

Im affraid of possible respiratoru\y infection from Cryptococcus....!!!!

I use to give GSE before but my son dont tolerate, he get wild from it....

I give OoO 3x2 drops a day...

Hi Pani,

The Good: You have found one of the primary sources of infection in your son

which is linked to the Feral/Wild Pigeons....and you know this infection

provokes regression.

The Bad: You MUST get the Pigeons AWAY from your balconies/windows or this will

prove to be a major obstacle in your son's healing journey.

I went to school overseas and illness associated with Pigeons seemed very well

known so I'm a bit surprised your doctor said it was no big deal. Especially in

immune compromised individuals. They called it " maladie de Pigeon " .

I had the same problem, as do most people living in city apts. and I remedied it

by buying five artificial OWLS from the United States. I had them shipped over

and then bolted them to brackets which had been affixed to the wrought iron

railing around the balcony. I put them in front of each window, there were only

two on either side of the balcony. The neighbors laughed at me saying " city

pigeons do not know what an owl is! " Oh la la! Stupid American. Well, Oh la la

right back! Those pigeons came flying in for a landing and saw my Owl Patrol and

did the fastest 180 degree turn in avian history!

The neighbors above and below swallowed their pride and copied this idea and we

kept them away. Spiking the railing helps too but they do learn to tip toe so

you must be thorough and make sure every single linear inch is covered if you do

choose to spike. They used to sell the spikes in three foots lengths of metal

strips.

The use of owls as Pigeon Deterrents is quite commonplace in the US. Do you ever

see artificial owls on any of the buildings near you or in the city?

Birds know by instinct what can eat them and it doesn't matter if they've ever

seen it before. Hawks are also major predators of pigeons.

You can treat and treat with the antifungals but if you don't get rid of the

pigeons themselves it will turn into an exhausting merry-go-round.

Give the Birds of Prey/Avian Predators a try. They even have inflatable owls

which you could try and see how they react. Do not let this scare you but

Cryptococcus tii can be a source of meningitis, although it is extremely

rare. A man in my town in Florida developed meningitis after cleaning a roof top

air conditioning unit which was covered in pigeon droppings. He cut his finger

and the fungus entered his body through the cut.

If possible. Hire someone to thoroughly clean the outside of the windows and

every nook and cranny of the balconies. Keep in mind, and I'm sorry to say this,

but once the windows are open and the dropping encrusted window sills and frames

have access to the house via the breeze/wind wafting through...it's in the

room/house. You must clean and scour the entire house and Crypto-Proof your

house.

If you cannot get rid of the pigeons look at the possibility of relocating as

difficult as that may be.

Remember: Owl Power! Pigeons be gone!

Yes, I found the reson-pigeons and I was amased from this !!!!!!

But I dont react.... I let my son get this infection again !!!!!

Where I live is not supprisinf that Drs say its not a problem...

I need to find on my own hwat cause the problem, when I told them they just smile!!!

Smile, but my son is KAOS all summer last year !!!!!

I do beleive if I poison the pigeons, the surropunf is very poluted with feces...

They make nests and all this close-shut the gutters..

When the last rain was, my appartment was in big trouble....

As the gutters were closed, all the water came up to my roof, miz with the pigeons feces and absorb in to the concrette on the roof, rught on my bedrooms !!!!!

So the 3 rooms smell now very bad, on fecess and water !!!!

This make a damage too so I need to re clean all rooms etc etc.....

The roof of the rooms become black from the eater and smeely very much like brid fecces...

Pigeons come in to the roof as shelter in winter and all the roof is full with feces....

All this smell on fecces, Can it be the source of my son Cryptococcus??

As he use to play in this room these days ?????

The example with Owls look very real to me...

I will have to check where to buy somenting like this !!!!! but I beleive will work..... otherwise I need to put a poison on the roof.... or to move from the appartment.....

Not only Cryptococcus causes a problem in your son's health, I think that you also need to test him for mold, now knowing the rain and the situation of your building. (personalcargo is her sign-on name) just recently posted a list of labs to test for mold infections in the system. Anyway, the labs are very extensive, and I don't know how convenient it is for you to do the tests, since you live outside of the States. A quick and cheaper way to get some ideas is to do a Zyto scan with Tami. She just officially announced the rollout of Zyto project.

You most definitely are dealing with a mold problem. Please heed Limin's advice

regarding looking into testing via the list /personalcargo posted. If you've

got " black flecks " on the walls, you've got mold. You musn't underestimate the

damage mold can do to your health. My son has suffered terribly from mold

exposure as have many on this forum.

Goran,

Just a request. Please do not try and poison the pigeons. It may seem like an

easy solution but in reality is not. There are far too many and you would never

be able to stop the growth of successive generations. There are far more humane

ways of dealing with the pigeon problem but Goran, I think you might seriously

consider moving. The problems you are facing might be too great to overcome.

Your son needs a mold free, pigeon free environment. I hope this materializes

for you. You are both in my prayers.
