Guest guest
Congratulations on your consult a! I think it is great Dr. K has an office in Las Vegas... because if I need to go back to visit him... I can get a MUCH cheaper ticket to Las Vegas (once I relocate to New Mexico!) As a self-pay for the entire surgery, I understand what a sacrifice it is... and I will be praying that you only have to self-pay for the consult! The DS isn't an easy surgery, but it IS a life-saving surgery. I used to hate to travel pre-DS. I've just returned from a trip to New Mexico, where I had to take 3 planes each direction. I could fit into the seats! I could buckle the seatbelts! I could put the tray tables down! In fact, I had to spend the night in LAX airport on the way home (as I was delayed in Dallas and didn't make the last flight of the day to Santa Barbara)... and wandered around LAX during the night! Laf, a little over a year ago, it was ALL I COULD DO to sustain being pushed in a wheelchair to the gate at LAX for a direct flight! (With my oxygen in tow of course!) Next year, you'll LOVE traveling again, a! Guest guest
.. How far is from Vegas. We are staying at the MGM Grand! We will be arriving Sunday and leaving early Tuesday! -a a, is 'spitting distance " from Vegas. From the strip, it will be about 10-15 minutes, once you get on I 15. The biggest slow down is possible traffic on the strip to get to the expressway. By April, our weather is getting hot, so bring cool clothing-light colors, and light weight. Dont' forget lip balm, and lotions, and keep yourself very hydrated by drinking lots of water. IT is very easy to get dehydrated in the desert. YOu dont' even know you are sweating, and then all of a sudden, wham, you are very, very dry. We should see you at the April meeting. Guest guest
Hi a! Welcome! I went to see Dr. K for my consultation in Vegas in January. For the same reasons! Had a nice trip. We rented a car was the easiest I thought and the town was not hard to navigate. The office he is practicing out of was a tad bit hard for me to find be sure to take the address including the BUILDING NUMBER as there are a few in that complex. Dawn did my " teaching " and patiently answered all my questions. That night was a support group meeting and we found it only a few minutes late. Met some handsome post-ops and some excited pre-ops (The Stolz's). If you have any questions that I might know I would be happy to answer them. I look forward to meeting new wonderful people when I visit Delano! in Tacoma Pre Op 3/26/03 Dr. K
Guest guest
Hi a..I went for a checkup in Vegas last November. . I live outside of New Orleans- stayed at the Miage. Renting a car maybe cheaper than taking a taxi. Perhaps the hotel has a courtesy car? It was quite expensive for a cab ride out to . $30 sticks in my mind. Didn't seem that far looking at a map, but the meter said otherwise. Have a good time!
