Guest guest
Dear Tahira, I'm afraid I didn't find anything that much that helped with the arthritis I used to have. Painkillers had very unpleasant side effects. I think I tried MSM and condroitin and they did nothing (I would expect MSM didn't agress with me). I didn't try calcium but calcium doesn't help me and I avoid supplementing it beyond what I can't easily avoid in a general vit/min (I don't believe it helps strengthen the bones - or at least it is a misleading simplification I will add a couple of links from Dr Mercola.) Losing weight did help me a bit but I had to starve myself to begin losing - it was really very hard being hypothyroid to lose weight and I was contantly hungry. It was only addressing the underlying infection/s that made things better. It was quinine that helped first (this was presecribed). Changing our diet and starting probios/fermented foods and, I importantly for me I think was , taking herbs eg herbs for lyme disease. A couple of links from Dr Mercola http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/05/23/Can-Calcium-Actually-Make-Your-Bones-Weaker.aspx http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/12/21/osteoporosis-prevention-and-treatments-exposed.aspx Best wishes, Sandy > >>
Guest guest
Hi TahiraI have not heard of this mattress at all and it has no international safety ratings or things like that, so I would not be certain that it would be effective. The organisation is called iLifeSomm... they are austrian, and generally english is not brilliant... however have left a message for my Friend Dr Hannes Beck who is a consultant with both companies to find out a little more for you... Best WishesTracey hi tracey, have you heard of the tiens dream mattress, tiens do a large range of products maybe a malaysian company, any idea about them , how they compare to the new system you mention. can i speak or email the person that deals with this new system? thks tahira To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Sent: Mon, 4 April, 2011 20:06:39Subject: Re: OT - Ideas for presentation Hi Tahira Another thought if he is feeling depressed... would he listen to meditation tapes? there is a wonderful one - free to download from the Silva foundation called the mind centering exercise.. it helps rebalance the body emotionally and physically and has been used successfully by people with all sorts of ailments.. It is very relaxing and uplifting.. I have included the link.. I love listening to the long relax on the mind centering exercise... whenever I remember to .. somehow life seems to flow more beautifully.... http://freelancewebmarket.com/eproducts/Silva-Centering-Exercise-with-Theta-Sound-Downloads.htm?did=5789 The company I used to be an agent for is Vitalife, I have two of their systems - an only use one.... The system if very good, however if he is on blood thinning meds, he would have to monitor them, as they magnetic resonance system improves blood flow and reduces sludging in the veins which is responsible for the thickened blood.. so as the system is used, meds have to be reduced or stopped as the body recovers.. There is a newer system available now called the Iliffe.. A friend of mine in Germany sells them - he speaks brilliant English.. and used to sell the Vitalife systems too.. so knows a lot more than I do. Best Wishes Tracey tracey, i will certainly forward the advice about the dietary stuff you mention as for the positive state of mind i know he is very down and depressed due to being stuck at home and hampered mobility etc. please give me names of the electromagnetic you have aswell as the circ booster i would like to try them for him or talk to the company direct .thks tahira To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Sent: Mon, 4 April, 2011 12:15:51Subject: Re: OT - Ideas for presentation Hi Tahira I believe that HBOT can be very beneficial.. as can TST. Really important to each simple to digest foods along the lines of 's diet so that blood is not being diverted from main circulation to digest foods.. Animal products will be the hardest to digest. Improving oxygenation will improve circulation... however if the diaphragm is weakening.. or compressed with sitting in a slouched position, this will affect the ability of the diaphragm to support good inhalation and exhalations.. There may be some very good and simple yoga exercises which would help circulation... Many yoga exercises can be done whilst sitting or lying down... And finally .. a positive state of mind and laughter are probably the essential elements to returning health. Best Wishes Tracey hi tracey, I was wondering if you could suggest anything that could we helpful in stroke symptoms for an elderly relative who has a significant atherosclerosis on both sides of carotid arteries. They are on lots of medication but recently gone right down in health,ie they are unable to move much and lot of weakness. any idea how one can promote the cerebral circulation or any supps that can help? thks tahira To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Sent: Fri, 1 April, 2011 9:21:04Subject: Re: OT - Ideas for presentation Sandy the thing that strikes me from the stuff you are doing is just how much time it all takes and how you manage work life balance... I think as an outsider.. the thing that would interest me is how you fit it all in to 24 hours!!! Tracey Hi all,We have been asked to speak at the TA conference about Treating the Family. We are starting to draft some slides and remembered that last time the ideas re. what to include we got from ABE friends were really useful. If there's anything you think would be good to cover re. treating the family, we'd welcome your suggestions. Best wishes,Sandy
