Guest guest
Dear Steve, I am currently preparing to get a gastric bypass. You say obesity is not a disease---it is only a result of bad behavior. I say it started as bad behavior but it is a disease that many cannot conquer. Most obese people who manage to lose gain it back and that's at least 80%. I realized I could not conquer this. I also wanted to walk off my weight, and I think it's very interesting about walking the weight off or trying to, but I've had many problems with my feet and the idea of getting lots of very painful blisters from walking with all the heaviness still there is just too much of an idea for me. Also, I have symptoms of MS which I've had for years & other major problems. I do believe I need to do it this way. The walking is a very hard way to do it considering everything and I see the weight has not been melting off as you probably thought it would when you started. It was just too hard with all the blisters and many other problems and when you rested for several days you were hungry and ate fast food that made you gain most of it back---otherwise you would be down to normal weight by now. I wish the best for you and admire all your courage!!! I pray that not only will you find a new healthy body but that your spirit will be renewed also and you will find a close relationship with Jesus Christ. God bless you.
