, this is so horrible for you and you child, I'm so sorry. The reason for my question, is, it makes me wonder if they used peg, and never told you..............you need to find out! You also need to be firm and demand you know everything BEFORE ANY procedure, they will be giving your child, this is the way they work, giving you whatever they think necessary, without your consent. THIS IS WRONG ESPECIALLY WITH YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!! I use this way of thinking in everyday life from the school nurse, who doesn't even call when my daughter felt like she couldn't breath from a cold medication, to the vaccines they are given at the doc's office, I want to see the shot drawn up to know what IT REALLY IS. These are the precautions we MUST do to protect ourselves from human error!!!! After receiving 2 rounds of HIB instead of 1, and having a nurse try to give her 7 infectious diseases in one sitting, I've learned my lesson and no longer feel they are more

intelligent than I. And I want answers.............and ask questions.............what is it? How does this work? what happens if? Let me see the safety data sheets on this, etc. I'm sick of all the secrets they feel are irrelevant to take the time to share with the patient because I want to know what I'm getting, this is my body and I'm not your science project!!! This is how we ended up on this group to begin with..................... Sincerely, A miralax survivor, a victim of human errorJennie wrote: I can not remember the name of it. They said instead of trying to get him to drink barium, they was putting this other stuff in the other end. It helped like barium to see things in there better when doing the moving exray. It was a clear yellow liquid that they said if there was any tears etc in the gi it was absorbable by the body. My son was crying so much I dont rember what they called it nor does my husband. What our little ones have to go through when it comes to the gi, it is so hard to see them go through!! I also wanted to mention that since my last reglan update on him, he has been having stool movements pretty good. I am going to call and ask the gastro if we can lower the miralax(he is still on 1dose). I dont suspect he needs it, but want to give it until monday and then go from there! This other med is all to new and I dont want to take any chances of not knowing(no miralax, other med working??). As much as I hate all the meds they are

always putting my son on, I prefer none if possible, it has to be takin one day at a time. Supplements need to be balanced in. I really dont want to see him on the tubes. He has been miralax free befor and I know he well be again. I honestly cant say it was good. Most recommended not to use. It has only been 3 days and I am still nervous about him being on it! But in those 3 days he is finally eating good, letting gas(couldnt do on own), not severly bloated, etc. His "new"

gastro put him on due to he suspects he doesnt have much muscle/nerve ability in his intestinal tract(I have been telling all his docs I suspect this for over 2yrs)! Reglan is used to induce intestinal contractions in there among other things..reflux, nausea, etc. At this point, no stool yet, but due to the test they put him through, put a liquid in there and he cleaned out for a couple of days, so to early to say! I dont encourage anyone to medicate with this med, but did want to update on my son! As I mentioned still nervous about the med, but am hopeful! And just a reminder on the supplements, yes some work for him, aloe, etc. but when the contractions arent going/working, no way to even get loose stool out. Seems the contractions work "sometimes" in some areas(gastro suspects) and then not work other times! This is something I still need to figure out in my head! Needed to try, they kept talking about feeding tube!

Ill keep you all updated on this new med! Jennie<>< Luggage? GPS? Comic books? Check out fitting gifts for grads at Yahoo! Search.
