Guest guest Posted June 23, 2007 Report Share Posted June 23, 2007 Hey guys, well, our12 tear old son has chiari but my wife has had 4 major back surgeries for scoliosis and after pain meds, bad doctors, steroid shots, epidurals and accupuncture we have found what I hope to be a miracle. This last week she had a spinal cord stimulator surgically implanted. It is similar to a tens unit except it is implanted surgicallly directly on the spine and has 28 settings. She is walking without a cane for the first time in over two years. For those of you with back pain I think this would be worth asking your doctor about.
