Guest guest
I have made up my mind I will do a flush once a week until there are no more stones, Barb I don't post much but wanted to put in my 2 cents on this one. From one who has done all of Dr s protocols I would not do it every week. The recommendation is twice a year but it can be done every two weeks. .. Garnet you can find the instructions here. _http://drclark.net/en/cleanses_clean-ups/liver_cleanses.php_ (http://drclark.net/en/cleanses_clean-ups/liver_cleanses.php) ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
I want to throw my 2 bits in here. Never having done the flush, you can take my thoughts on this or leave it. :-) I have read many times where people say that the oil itself is what makes up all those stones everyone gets, which is why they get stones no matter how many times they do the flushes. Now, I also have read where many people say this is not true. I never could decide whether the flush was a good thing to do, or not because of this. And then I read--and DANG, I never kept the info!!, but I THINK it was on the educate yourself forum, where a person decided to actually do experiments on himself to see whether or not the stones were actually made up of the oil. He thought that the only way to tell for sure, without having a lab to test them, was to find a dye that would work. He tried many types of dyes and finally came up with something red that would not just be flushed out of the system by itself in urine or feces. When he took that dye (colored the oil with it) the stones he got from the flush were red instead of green, which told him that the stones were really made up of the oil. So--make of this what you will. Personally, I'd go with something easier on the body like Dr. Schulze's liver flush. Takes longer--5 days, but is not so hard to do, and makes more sense to me as it is made up of real foods, not taking huge amounts of oil. Guest guest
In response to this " theory. " Barb Some medical practitioners claim that the gallstones excreted during liver cleansing are congealed olive oil. This is totally false. Why are gallstones not made from congealed olive oil? Because olive oil only congeals, or coagulates, at temperatures below 55 degrees F (13 C). Normal body temperature is 98.6 degrees F (37 C). Olive oil always remains liquid in the body. Furthermore, olive oil does not contain cholesterol, bilirubin, pigment or bile salts. Gallstones are made of cholesterol (95%), bilirubin, pigment and bile salts. The liver makes cholesterol which in turn create hormones. It takes weeks, months and years for gallstones to form from cholesterol. Gallstones do not form in 3 hours because of the ingestion of olive oil during a liver cleanse. First of all they do not form from olive oil, as discussed above, and it takes a long time for them to form from cholesterol. Saturated fatty acids (and alcohol and concentrated sweeteners that are rapidly transformed into saturated fatty acids) are the chief culprits in raising blood cholesterol, creating gallstones, and in increasing the risk of heart disease. But dietary cholesterol also plays a part. The average American man consumes about 360 milligrams of cholesterol a day; the average woman, between 220 and 260 milligrams. The main causes of a high cholesterol count are diet and gallstones. Cholesterol is in every cell in your body, and every cell needs it. You can't live without cholesterol, which is one type of the fat-like substances (lipids) in your blood. Among the essential roles of cholesterol are to help insulate nerves and to create hormones. The term " cholesterol " is used for both the cholesterol you eat (dietary cholesterol) and the cholesterol produced in your body. Your liver makes about 80 percent of the cholesterol in your blood (blood cholesterol). Only about 20 percent comes from your diet. Animal products that you eat, such as meat and dairy foods, contain dietary cholesterol. Vegetables do not. http://zap.intergate.ca/liver.html Re: Digest Number 821 >I want to throw my 2 bits in here. Guest guest
Yes, I used to believe that too. Dr. Hulda e says twice a year and Dr. s Moritz says every 2 weeks until no more stones are passed and then twice yearly for maintenance. Just the day before yesterday I was browsing through my own material and found an article that said this flush can be done weekly. Of course, at the time when I copied and pasted this article, I was still ignorant of the " need " to copy the website address! I have been doing this flush on a weekly basis now for 3 weeks and have had no negative reactions ( I am considered a " senior. " -. I have had a homeopathic physician as my family doctor for 11 years now, so " listening " to my body is second nature to me. When my body tells me weekly is too frequent, I will then change my protocol.
